A drive to cut its reliance on oil yet visit countries to talk and try to make investment deals about oil...

The Saudi economy is in dire straits; their plan to invest 2 trillion dollars in a sovereign investment fund has hardly got off the ground; 10,000 Indian and TCN workers in Saudi have not been paid for 6 months and are stuck in the kingdom, afraid to leave in case they lose their back pay. Maybe he should start with reform at home first, and use some of those dollars to pay them before Saudi Arabia drops off the employment horizon and people stop going there.

He will then visit Japan from Aug 31 to Sept 3

This visit SHOULD be protested. The war crimes this country has committed against Yemen should be headline news, however, our wonderful MSM is on Obama's (petrodollar) side, so little mention of it. Disgusting.
