I share the same view, I rather prefer a skilled Swiss Made Automatic watch than carrying a LCD screen extension small & unreadable under sunlight on a a wrist and have to look for a power plug to charge it every day. Thanks God I still have one hand to take my smartphone out of my pocket ^^

The "Google Glass" will find a niche in the private sector first like military, medicine, manufacturing and security. Later on, it will make its way to the public sector. It's just a little ahead of its time!

I think in the longer run, the Apple Watch has a better chance of success because unlike most other smart watch manufacturers, Apple has a large group of engineers dedicated to figuring out how to make use of a smart watch. Sure, it may be (for now) tied only to the iPhone, but given the huge number of iPhone 4S and later iPhone models sold with Bluetooth 4.0 (LE) support that can work with the Apple Watch, that's a huge market for this device.
