Apple should be suing Google for Android but Google owns too many other patents and nothing would come over it, instead apple targets the low hanging fruit so to speak.

In the end, the real winners here are the lawyers. Hopefully both companies will learn from this and get on with actually improving their products with new features significantly enough that one cannot accuse the other of copying.

Apple should be suing Google for Android that would be even more foolish than sueing samsung, Google could easily countersue Apple for copywrite infringements. and with there very deep pockets and large influence over the internet not even Apple would thing that is wise.

I live in Silicon Valley and know many patent attorney's and patent litigators. And they all say the same thing:
The real winners here are the big companies. And the so-called 'patent trolls.' Only they have the muscle to make work the system in their favor. A patent does not give you the right to use an invention. It gives you the power to prevent someone else from using it. (Its a negative right).
What that means in the real world is only those with a lot of money can sue and counter sue, and then reach some kind of sharing agreement based on MAD.
That is how it works. And the lawyers only make a small cut of what is at stake.

In certain countries in Southeast Asia you ask people and they will tell you, unanimously, the real winners are judges. Go there and confirm it yourself.
