I guess back in the day , telephone signals did interfere with aviation equipments , now you are prone to have brain cancer, headaches, messes up with your sperm count, sleeplessness , but hey,,,its ok now to keep it on!! yeah!!

soon all airlines will allow this. on the plus side poor staff won't have to run around stopping people from calling or texting around takeogff time. On the downside idiots will be calling and texting around takeoff time.

Dog forbid that they do allow it. It's always been nonsense that they affect airplane controls (especially in the days before "fly by wire" design). Airplane travel is bad enough that it needn't be degraded further by having to sit next to some numbskull carrying on a vapid conversations for hours. I'm not quite sure why anyone would want to do this anyway.
