The truly astonishing part of this is that some 28 victims were killed and 113 were injured by a group that did not use firearms, bombs, chemicals or any modern weapons to accomplish this.

If they had firearms, the death toll would unquestionably be higher.

Back on topic,

RIP to all the victims and their families....

RIP to the victims. This type of thing can happen anywhere at any time. No country is immune, not even Japan.

Chinese news service NNIGN (no new is good news) will give details when available.

Typical that face of a deceased has been released so soon.

Did Boko Haram just launch a new subsidiary in Kunming?

Very sad situation when unsuspecting families lining up at a public railway station waiting to board trains to travel can be attacked by what could only be deemed terrorists. Lets hope none of the JPT posters try to politicize this. This could happen to anyone, anywhere in today's world. I feel for the innocent people involved. I'm thankful my wife and I weren't traveling from Kun Ming station at that time.

The innocent always pay, hope they catch those thugs to be off the streets.

China needs to focus internally instead of antagonising it neighbours, seems it has bigger issues that need dealing with. RIP to the victims I hope they catch these heartless people, killing innocents is not the way to forward your cause.

I don't think OssanAmerica is doubting that, I think Ossan is simply pointing out that s/he is surprised at the bodycount and wounded count by only using bladed weaponry

And nobody could do Kung-fu to stop the attackers? I guess it is time to open Krav Maga dojo in China

Back on topic,

Sounds like it is on topic to me~. I'm curious if everybody just ran or if any body tried to "Kung-Fu" em. And if the 113 wounded were stabbed on trampled. And I so want to know how many attackers there were and what their agenda was. I will be looking for an update.
