Gee, that sounds like fun. Stabbings, muggings, street brawls, mass arrests, looting, all played out on a massive scale, There comes a point where such a "celebration" simply needs to be shut down for good.

Ha, ha. Diversity: the gift that keeps on giving.

Carnival is not that bad, considering the number of people who attend over the three days. Most of the problems are due to people hurting themselves, rather than others, after getting pissed and off their faces.

"Not that bad"?

According to the article -

London police arrested more than 100 people amid sporadic violence Sunday at the annual Notting Hill Carnival, an annual celebration of Caribbean culture in the British capital that often includes trouble on the sidelines.

The Metropolitan Police reported at least four knife attacks during the opening day of the two-day festival in west London. It said four males aged 15 to 20 were wounded, with one 15-year-old boy hospitalized in critical condition.

It doesn't sound as if people were hurting themselves, especially with knives. Any festival that often includes sporadic violence should be closed down.

That's every single music festival then. You must be a right laugh.
