cleopatra was a person of dark complexion. she was not white or asian. if it is going to be a historical movie then, the story should be told based on actual proof instead, of holloywood facts.

@Sylvester Haynes: I get the part where you are saying cleopatra isn't white but why throw Asian in there? That aspect wasn't even under consideration nor is it mentioned anywhere in the article??

I'm sure Mr. Lee will do just fine should he take this project.

I think Angelina Jolie can portray a woman of Greek/Macedonian descent without it being too unbelievable.

Er, for your information, Ang Lee is thinking of directing the movie, not taking on the role of Cleo herself.

Already been done: Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Can't be beat. Especially can't be beat by a light-weight line Angelina Jolie.

Have Coptic Christian Egyptians to play some roles also, the last legacy of the real Egyptians, muslims were converts due to Arabic influence from foreigners..

Coptics still make up more then 15% of Egypt's population

So when is Hollywood movies right on facts? It's part of a propaganda machine but then it's just a movie to make money so, welcome Angelina and Ang Lee to another remake of history.
