First sentance should read: Japan’s GS Yuasa, the troubled battery supplier for Boeing’s Dreamliner, ...

"Menpsycho", Boeing has NOT yet determined what was the cause of the batteries overheating and burning up so until they do, EVERYTHING connected to those batteries is a SUSPECT including the batteries. It's Boeing's design and EVERYTHING was built to Boeing's specs so the sentence is CORRECT AS IT STANDS!!!

From experience GS Yuasa is the best Car Battery. there are several cases and reasons of overheating battery, it can be a faulty regulator, breakers connected to it or perhaps overloading of use....... In Airline business electronic fault should not happen as there should be many process (functional safety, DFMEA, PFMEA, Quality & Safety Processes) to countercheck this issue during design which way way higher and strick than automotive. perhaps, Boeing skip one of this checks due to under pressure from competition and investors.
Talking about Electronic fault..........I took a flight using Emirates A380 from Germany..........the person sitting infront is pushing a switch which should lit the light above him but the other light is switching on....he he he. people around who noitce it just silently laugh about it.
