Interesting that Mexico has been last production base for VW Beetles and not this iconic Nissan Sunny. Corrollas are still going in about their 9th or 10th guise.

Apparently the name 'Sunny' was chosen in a competition among consumers to name the new model car in the late 1960s. I suppose now we can make the ironic point that: the sun goes down on the Sunny in Mexcico, or rather the tsuru comes home to roost in Mexico.

Something like that.
