I hate it!

With the tinted-up windows, it looks more like a police van than a taxi. Not sure I'd like to ride in that taxi...might not know where or when you'll be let out!

Looks awful. More like a minivan than a black cab.

Too bad the classic London taxi maker went to a Chinese junk maker. The Nissan will likely be a big step up for passengers and owners.

It looks British.

Hope the Britishers like it.

Ban diesels like in Japan. Tokyo air quality has benefited greatly over the years.

It looks ghastly. Thanks, BJ!

To me a hybrid is ideal for a taxi..wonder why Toyota does not get into that market with a specific taxi design.

I prefer it to the existing black taxis. Those look and sound horrible. It's about time we had something a bit more modern. I've ridden in minivan style cabs before, so this doesn't bother me.

£1 = US $ 1.6397 . 30000 pounds does not equal 36000 US dollars.

I think it looks okay. The current ones are iconic, but due a more modern look.

Not great looking. Merc have already strarted taking some of the market with these minivan lookalikes. Geely taking Managanese Bronze was the nailn their cofficn. and that they cost so much.

Nissan is really pushing this platform everywhere. I'm doubting the city of London will really take use a modified version of the same car used in New York City, but then again it all comes down to costs.

Very ugly box car !

Don't know why they did that to its face, the van looks better. If Mercedes can be a success with its Vito I don't see any reason Londoners would reject the look of the standard Nissan.
