Police said Saturday they have arrested a 54-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy over apparently unrelated bomb threats against Machida Technical High School in Tokyo in the past week.

The school received several bomb and shooting threats by phone from a woman on June 3 and June 4, forcing it and four other elementary schools within the Machida City area to temporarily close, Sankei Shimbun reported.

On Friday, the school was forced to close again after a bomb threat was called into the school. Police said the call came in at around 9:30 a.m. A woman's voice said: "I'm going to plant a bomb at the school sometime next week." When a staff member who had answered the phone asked the caller where the bomb would be placed, the caller simply repeated her first statement and then hung up.

Police said Saturday they had arrested an unemployed woman, Naomi Ogawa, over the threats, saying that a record of her calls to the school remained on her cell phone.

Meanwhile, on Friday, police arrested a 17-year-old male student from nearby high school on June 4 after the boy posted a bomb threat against Machida Technical High School on Twitter. Police said the boy has admitted making the Twitter threat.

Why are people so angry? It is just so sad that people have to be so hateful.

People don't seem to like that school, do they!?

I guess they wanted attention. Whatever their pleas were, they must have been ignored or unheard. You know how the authorities shun complains to people who truly speak and say what they think. It's not common in them to do so, and when someone does it, they're completely ignored and that's when betrayal and traitorship enters. Just saying what I think.
