Police in Tokyo's Hachioji said Wednesday that three bodies were found in a home in an apparent murder-suicide on Tuesday night.
According to police, they received a call at around 11 p.m. Tuesday in which the caller said his brother had hanged himself and his parents appeared to be dead. Fuji TV reported that police went to the residence of Takeshi Sato, 48, and found Sato, and his his father Yoshio, 75, and mother Kazuko, 71, all dead. The couple's younger son, 44, called the police after discovering the bodies when he visited the home.
A note was found by the body of Takeshi Sato. Police said the parents had been strangled to death and were found lying on their backs in one room.
