4 GSDF personnel arrested for beating colleague in Kyoto

Ground Self-Defense Force police on Wednesday arrested four personnel at the Fukuchiyama base in Kyoto for assaulting a 18-year-old colleague. The four men, aged between 18 and 20, were arrested for allegedly beating their colleague, breaking his ribs, in the barracks on base on April 24.

Police said the five joined the GSDF in April. The four have admitted to the charge, said police, but have not given any motive for the attack.

"Damn Japanese hierachy, bully society the even enters the military. "

This has little to do with Japan. It happens in militaries all over the world. Even in colleges.

Why can't you news reporters give us more insight, like what was the reason this guy got beat up? Did he steal something from one of these guys, did he fall out while on a 10 mile run and embrass his squad?

If you news reporters would dig into this then we won't be wondering around in the dark with our comments...we could then make more refined comments like "he had it comming" or "I would have smacked him myself".

Why can't you read to the end of a 2 paragraph article? The police said that the 4 morons haven't admitted to the motive yet. What do you want the reporter to do, beat it out of the 4?

Isn't beating a confession out of suspects the "norm" though? I would have thought they'd have already gotten that information. Maybe they're afraid to do it because these guys are military, and in for beating up someone else.
