52-year-old man tricks high school girl into sending naked photos of herself

A 52-year-old Kobe man who asked a high school girl to send him naked photos of herself was arrested Wednesday for breach of anti-pornography laws. The suspect, who has been identified as Nobuhito Mizohata, allegedly used fake photos to pose as a younger man on a dating site where he became acquainted with the 16-year-old girl who lives in Nagoya.

According to police, Mizohata requested and received nude photos of the girl taken on her cell phone camera in September of last year. Mizohata was quoted by police as saying, "I like young girls and wanted to get nude photos from them." After seizing Mizohata's home computer, police found further images and are questioning him on how many times he has done this before.

The guy is a sleazeball, no doubt, but the girl is no angel, either. The story doesn't say if he paid her for the photos but most likely not since he was posing as a younger man.

Why would any girl send nude photos of herself like that? I guess I must belong in a bygone era. I just don't understand it and I'm glad I am not the parent of a teenage girl

0 ( +0 / -0 )

how did they catch him?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He's not blameless, but she was willing to go along with this.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yes, she showed what she has to offer.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Most teen girls nowadays seem to have no qualms about sending nude photos to someone they barely know. ("I KNOW him, we text all the time!")

I wonder how he was caught?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

She was silly to send nude photos of herself to someone she doesn`t know. He was sly enough to con her in to doing it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Wonder why posters are asking how he got caught!!

Perhaps they are looking to avoid the same fate?

This girl should be prosecuted for distribution of ponography and the guy should be prosecuted for solicitation of a minor.

If the girls dont get punished then they wont stop doing it, naughty little b!tches.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

yeah... its also the girls fault... either way... sending nude photos is not appropriate either

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He is definitely a pervert and pedophile. for such people only prison and no second chance for life outside prison. Real men do not do this.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There is nothing wrong with nudity. What a bunch of militant prudes you all are to try to force your hatred of sexuality on society. The problem is that an adult was involved with a teenager which is generally considered inappropriate and a crime. Since he tricked her into believing he was young as well she is a victim. If he likes young women he should target 18 year olds.

This article is pretty scant on details. How was he caught? Did the girl discover that she was being deceived and call the police? Did the man brag about his victory while in a drunken state? Did he turn himself in? There isn't even any mention of any confession which is uncommon judging from most crime stories. Did the police do a random search on him and discovered this?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I still don't get the title of the article. How was she 'tricked'? She either did, or she didn't.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Stupid girl. Disgusting pervert.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

How do they know it was exactly a 16 year old HS girl from Nagoya who sent the photos? If he can misrepresent himself so can the other party.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Keep in mind that cellphone pics are very low resolution. Bet he couldn't see much.

Keep in mind that cellphone pics are very low resolution. Bet he couldn't see much.

May be for those in the US still using Motorola Razor's... Japanese Cell Phones have had relatively high resolution cameras in them forever.

This article would be better with pictures. Ha, I jest.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Gurukun, it states in the article that he pretended to be someone about her age but really wasn't. In all likelihood she thought she was appealing to a potential boyfriend, when really she was giving a sleazebag some new wanking material.

I don't agree with girls sending naked pics (I've had absolute strangers ask me for naked pictures and wonder exactly who would give in to their requests) and think it's a pretty stupid thing to do, but in cultures where women are taught to value their ability to make boys like them, it's not going to be uncommon. She did what lots of teenage girls do with boys their age. What makes it a crime is that she wasn't just sexting, she was unknowingly becoming a distributor of child pornography.

And no, I do not agree that you're distributing child pornography if you're 16 and sexting with your 18-year-old boyfriend. Being stupid, yes. Being a criminal, no.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He should just go to a convenie and by magazines.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Keep in mind that cellphone pics are very low resolution. Bet he couldn't see much.

You obviously don't live in Japan because cell phones here have very high resolution.

This article would be better with pictures. Ha, I jest.

Hahahahahahaha. This comment wins!

So, is the girl going to be charged too? I thought that distributing porn was a crime as well.

A 16 year old on a dating site is looking to make one thing, and I'm not talking about friends.

And I don't really know if I can call this guy a pedophile. A perv, for sure, but I don't think highschool girls are kids. Not saying "adults" should be hitting on them, but I can't really say he wanted to have sex with a child. If that were the case than I would imagine most of the people on this board have had a relative back in the 1600s that is by that definition a pedophile.

Anyhoo, I too am curious about how he got caught. I mean, Brett Farve even managed to get away with sending a pic of his peter. Technology is driving perversion everywhere.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I don't get the problem here.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

How can only he be charged when she was the one sending underage (even if it is of herself)photos through an online dating site which is basically set up for finding sex.

I agree with this statement. Almost every case that you see in the news of a high school girl prostituting herself to older men involves meeting them over these online (usually cell phone) dating sites. I seriously doubt she was a completely innocent girl "tricked" into sending nude photos. More likely she was looking for a potential customer who happened to be older than she originally thought (but probably wouldn't have stopped her from doing "business" with him anyway). High school girls in Japan are always in high demand as a valued commodity, and these girls know it and take advantage of those three years they have as actual high school girls to live it up as the ideal image of Japanese male fantasies (and the envy of wistful older women).

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The big bad wolf image is a sucker play for these girls to take advantage of and prey on these men. Too bad this incident just focuses on getting tricked by this man instead of a possible prostitution also.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Where are the parents of the high school girl??? She just sends naked photos to who ever asks?? Maybe she told the police after the guy refused to pay for the photos received? (smile)...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"allegedly used fake photos to pose as a younger man"

I'll bet those photos were of a real stud!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@Kwaabish yeah right? they do have the iphone here too. It only has the highest resolution possible for the eye to see... even my piece of junk 3 year ntt what ever it is was considred to have a HD resalution.

and... lets not forget she is using the cell phone camera to send pics. on avg Jap phones have better cameras. you think you couldnt see much detail in a 12 megapixel camera. He could see things just fine I am sure.

The chuzpah of this girl to complain to the police about being tricked in her enjo kosai business is amazing. Hilarious!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There are so many girls clearly engaging in 'enjo kosai' in my neighborhood; and Japan is not Cambodia or Sudan, where girls need to sell sex in order to eat. No, in Japan they sell sex for cash to buy handbags and shoes. They get what they deserve. They know damn well what they are doing. Stop all this nonsense about the girls being 'innocent'. She probably complained to the police when the guy tried to pay her 20,000yen instead of the agreed 30,000yen for the nude photos.

“He is definitely a pervert and pedophile. for such people only prison and no second chance for life outside prison. Real men do not do this.”

Looking at or wanting to look at nude photos of a 16-year-old does not make one a pedophile, whether one is 52 or 15.

The poster demonstrates a lack of knowledge of what actual pedophilia is. By definition, it refers to an adult having a sexual attraction to prepubescent children, or more specifically, children that cannot yet reproduce, i.e., pre-puberty.

The man in this case shows no such proclivities; so to label him a pedophile is simply wrong. By extension, to condemn him to a lifetime of scorn and torment for something that was very clearly not the horrendous crime of pedophilia is also wrong.

The proper term here for what this man is would be an ephebophile, or rather an adult who is sexually attracted to someone between the ages of 15 and 19, yes, admittedly a horrendous crime for which flaying, drawing, and quartering are scarcely adequate punishments -- oh, but if only we could excise the filth that is sexual desire from the human condition so that the world could be a brighter place (gnashes teeth and casts a forlorn gaze to the sky for answers that may never come).

The guy might very well be a pervert. And he most definitely is a jerk for employing a classic bait-and-switch tactic to get this girl to send nude photos of herself to someone she foolishly thought to be a peer. And yes, for whatever reasons, the thought of any 52-year-old showing sexual interest in a 15—year-old makes most people’s skin crawl. But he’s most certainly not a pedophile.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The guy is clearly a perv., and if it's the law, it's the law, but I'm not really sure how this is punishable unless he paid money for the pics, and/or published them on a website. The girl, while duped, sent them of her own volition.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

What's wrong here? That he posed as a young boy? Girl sent him the pictures, her camera, her body, noone's business but theirs.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The guy is clearly a perv

Really? I bet most men (99.99%) in that age group would love to receive the same. I know I would.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

LoveUSA:

" He is definitely a pervert and pedophile. "

He might be, but there is indication for that in the article. You can call him a slimeball for posing as a younger man on the deai site, but how do you call the girl then for believing that everybody on the site is what they say they are?

Like the police chief in the movie Casablanca: I am shocked, shocked to learn that misrepresentation is going on on this site!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sorry, I meant to write: "there is NO indication for that"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

police found further images and are questioning him on how many times he has done this before.

It sort of makes you wonder how many more of these lecherous groomers are hanging out on the dating sites.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

, but how do you call the girl then for believing that everybody on the site is what they say they are?

I think that she was undercover police. So be careful when you want/receive photos with pervert content, maybe you are under surveillance.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Disilluasioned.

There literally tens of thousands worldwide that do stuff like that or worse. Many TV-programs worldwide featured reports on that shall we call it "past-time".

But glad he got caught and more are from both ends of the scale, the teens IMHO are just as much to blame.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Parents really need to teach their kids about what is appropriate cellphone/computer communication. ie. You don't send nude photos to someone you don't even know! The girl is only in high school and therefore still a kid. She may have thought she knew what she was doing but clearly she didn't. Teens don't think through their actions and that's why it's up to parents to help them see the possible consequences.

Unfortunately there are probably thousands of old pervs out there on the net posing as younger guys so that they can fulfill their sick fantasies. Hope he is punished accordingly.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I guess the crime here is that he asked for the pics??? Not really clear what law was violated...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Also not sure how he breached the anti-pornography law.

Did he take the pics? Did he send them out? NO, all he did is ask a teen(granted under false pretense) to take them herself(or ask a friend) and send them to him. She breached them by sending, IMO.

And before the guys/gals get all up in arms I DON'T condone what he did, as this is one of the 1st steps of grooming a teen in order to get them to have sex with him.

Typical Sexual Predator behaviour. Worst think is some shows even uncovered Rabbi, Teachers, Police/Military, etc for doing that.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

im sure the police are viewing the images, over and over and over and over again.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Zenny11:

I agree, except about the "sexual predator behaviour". When I hear that label, I think something much worse than asking for nekkid pics. And that is all he did from what we know. She sent them to him, and that was her decision.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

WilliB.

Gotcha, but how far a step from inviting her to meet him??

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Zenny11:

" Gotcha, but how far a step from inviting her to meet him?? "

That would still not make him a "sexual predator". Besides, if she met him should would notice that he was not the young stud he pretended to be online.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

WilliB.

Watch a few episodes of "How to catch a Predator" on Youtube.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So did this guy know she was 16? He was misrepresenting himself on the dating site, but was she doing the same and passing herself off as older? That might be a mitigating factor.

Irregardless, the person who should ALSO be arrested here is the girl for distributing pornography. SHE'S the one who took the photos of a minor and SHE'S the one who distributed them. I guarantee if they started prosecuting the girls for this behavior, the number of incidents would drop (and the pervy middle-aged guys would have to find some other way to get their jollies).

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Zenny11:

" Watch a few episodes of "How to catch a Predator" on Youtube. "

I don´t know why that is relevant. From all that we know, this guy is precisely NOT a "predator". So why would you want to catch him?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

WilliB.

As I said it is standard "grooming" tactics. The Videos are just for reference.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There is no indication of how the police found out about this incident...presumably the girl complained to the police, but that would seem very strange in the circumstances, seeing as she, apparently willingly, sent the photos of her own volition and she didn't know the man was 52 (would it have made a difference if he was 22?)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I got a feeling that the "Cyber Angels" might have been involved. But agree if he was 22 or 52 don't matter.

As I said and others before on this thread and others, the girl(poor misguided teen) will get off free to do it tomorrow again.

Most of those girls are fully aware and in control of what they are doing.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The funny thing is, the article says that this guy posed as a younger man online, but doesn't say exactly how much younger. Everyone seems to be assuming that he was acting as if he was a teenager or in his twenties, but for all we know, he could have simply been pretending that he was 32 instead of 52. In any event, though the article doesn't say, I am guessing the girl probably believed him to be over 18 and probably over 20.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

How is this a trick? They freely do it if you smile and ask them.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Zenny11:

" As I said it is standard "grooming" tactics. "

Grooming?? This was a DATING website, for crying out loud. A 16 year old girl who sends nude pics to (what she thinks is) a young stud knows very well what is doing.

Looks to me you are letting your phantasy turn this story into something other than it is.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Not at all.

Any evidence that he posted as a MINOR?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

How old did she think he was? What caused the realization and by whom, that something was amiss? No relevant information in this article so impossible for me to make a balanced judgment. Maybe her parents caught her, or a friend saw what she had done and told the girl's parents, or another friend and the rumor got around... the permutations are endless. Perhaps the story is meant as a warning to both types of party?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

WilliB.

Forgot to mention it is illegal for a MINOR(either sex) to sign up to a dating site(many don't check). Just like nightclubs who let in good looking ladies(regardless of age).

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Which lends even more credence to my question regarding whether the guy knew she was under age. If he meets her on a dating site and it's illegal for minors to be on dating sites, then how the heck would he know she's a minor?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Fadamor.

Agree we would need to see the chat-logs.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Zenny11:

" Forgot to mention it is illegal for a MINOR(either sex) to sign up to a dating site(many don't check). "

Yes it is. That is one reason I was so surprised she would go to the cops with this story? On the other hand, while it is illegal, I doubt there is a punishment for "juveniles".

0 ( +0 / -0 )

WilliB.

Yeah, no punishment for juveniles as they are seen as the "innocent" party.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

For all we know, this guy figured she was 20 and everything was legal. Speaking as a 50-year-old myself, girls in their 20's count as "young girls" to me so his statement isn't really that damning.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If she posted on the dating site, she is supposed to be 18 or more; a statement to this effect is on the top page of every deai site. So who scammed whom?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So a willing girl sends a willing guy naked pictures that he's only going to look at himself. I don't approve, but likewise I don't see any threat to society here. The girl was willingly in an adult environment (a dating site), and she is over the legal age for physical sex in most places in Japan. This just boggles the mind a bit.

Some guy's life ruined for... ummm a victimless crime.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

i don't see how he "tricked" her either. Yeah what if she was 18 - 22? I though the age of consent was 16 in Japana anyway. ?im not sure. But if he wanted to look at "young Girls" theres plenty of soft on Demand stuff out there. I don't agree with it BUT JP does have swimsuit & J-idol magazines with Girls who are 14- 18 yrs old.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He is definitely a pervert and pedophile.

Wrong. Pedophiles are interested in pre-pubescent females.
