A teacher in Chiba has been arrested for allegedly taking a video up a schoolgirl's skirt, police said Wednesday.

The man has been named as 28-year-old public school teacher Oki Yoshida from Funabashi. TV Asahi reported that Yoshida allegedly used a cell phone to take images up the skirt of a 15-year-old girl while on an escalator at Shin-Urayasu Station at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to police, Yoshida has confessed to the charge and was quoted as saying, "I did it to experience the thrill."

Can't go a week without these kinds of reports from either teachers or police. We are supposed to trust people in these positions.

Thumbs up if you tend to skip to the last pragraph in these types of stories.

This guy should be not allowed to teach anymore and put to jail for several months atleast...

What a perverted idiot. I agree with Mikune above. He probably will remain a teacher.

“I did it to experience the thrill.”

How about base jumping our hang gliding? If taking crotch shots of young girls is how these sickos experience thrills they need their heads examined.

****“I did it to experience the thrill.” Ok....Thats that done, What's Next!

Hahahahahaha. what a looser! Hope it was worth it Yoshida!

Enjoy your thrill buddy! You sure as hell got it now!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Now hopefully he will experience the "thrill" of being behind locked bars for a few months.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

These kind of sickos are around us, not just here in Japan but ALL OVER THE WORLD! Do hope they lock up these guy for at least a few months and NEVER allow him to teach in Japan or be anywhere near children here in Japan ever again!

1 down 17.324.976.625 to go heh.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

True, sickos all over the world, but the taking photos/videos up the skirts of underage girls appears to be more prevalent in Japan than other countries. i just don't get it.

Maybe the girls uniform should be modify to wear shorts or pants...school girl uniform (japan) is a bit provocative.

It isn't the firs or last time that we are hearing such news! Disqualification as teacher for life will do!!!

This is a lot more common than anyone would like to admit. I'm interested to know how he got caught and made it to the news. I've nabbed two guys in Chiba for doing exactly the same thing at stations over the last three years. The first time I received a similar interrogation from the cops as the sicko that took the shots and was detained for over two hours because I am a foreigner. I didn't receive any thank yous from the flops either. The second time I didn't bother trying to apprehend him. I just abused him on the platform and watched his funny little face as he stood there flatly denying it before running away. You can talk about this happening all over the world. There was a bus driver in Sydney caught with a camera mounted under the floor of bus about two years ago. His name is Takuya Koaze. He is Japanese! Ha, ha!

I really don't understand the logic. Hope he experiences 'the thrill' of being fired and having his license taken away, and then some.

Too many of these sorry losers in Japan. What exactly is the thrill of taking pictures of an adolescents knickers?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

LOL, now he got the thrills that wont go away so long as he live...

Can't imagine they'll lock him up, I see people nearly every day dragged out of stations by cops and I think they just fine them.

Most of the teachers I have met are perverts and vice versa...or sadists...or whingers...just strange folk in general really.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

What do you expect when every whorehouse, hostess club, pink salon etc....is decked out with posters of cute girls, real or anime, in school uniform? Japanese schoolgirls and their uniforms are highly sexualised in this country.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Be on the lookout for these perverts on windy days! As I recall, Tuesday was particularly gusty.

I have this nasty feeling that this kind of thing also influences how all teachers are seen, including gaijin. I had one female student who was angry she got swapped out to another teacher, and I ended up with a JHS girl student, as if this was something I deliberately arranged. I was too polite to point out that teachers don't get to pick the students.

ok, ok so what he's really saying is it was experimental, he's not a perv, so people should just keep calm and chive on

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

well miseteru kara >>> dakara ...

A perv is a perv here and everywhere, the teacher should have his license removed. as for the uniforms, I don't think they are as sexualized as in Latin America, where the skirts are really short and the girls like (Thank you very much Britney Spears! - remember her first song and PV?) to use that way, in my time there was also the tendency to make them shorter and shorter until the school put the rule "four fingers above the knee" was the shortest thing, it was of course for our own protection, but nowadays even that rule is ignored. I guess in Japan happens something similar in a lower level, so why they don't sell these shorts that are a neutral gray of close to the color of the uniform to be worn under the skirt like they do here?... it would be easy to make it trendy... a short kinda a hotpant under the skirt like the ones that Ga In used in the psy's music video...

so... most of the perverts you meet are teachers? that is kinda strange...didn't realize you meet so many perverts...

If you based things on the news reports, the ONLY perverts are police and teachers. As I highly doubt that, I'm left with the conclusion that the news ONLY reports it when it's a member of the police or a teacher that gets arrested. For every police officer or teacher that gets caught, I wonder how many "regular people" get caught?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

@Fadamor That's a good point. One very occasionally reads about someone who's not a teacher or a cop doing pervy things, but it seems that it's more newsworthy when the police or teachers--or once in a while some other government worker--gets caught. I guess it's a combination of "who shall guard the guards themselves" and "we've got wolves guarding the sheep" and maybe "jeez, these guys are being paid by our taxes" that causes them to dominate the news...or at least the media believe them to be (more) newsworthy for such reasons.

I have no doubt that there are a lot more "regular people"--probably in the normal population distribution relative to cops, teachers, and the like--doing the same thing but who who just don't make the news. Teachers might be exceptional, I suppose, because of more exposure or even having been motivated to enter the profession from base motives, but I rather doubt it, really.

It's probably just as well that every case doesn't make the news: it would likely become commonplace and a lot of folks would become desensitized from sheer volume/familiarity. or maybe that's too cynical. Nah....

I take it back, I remember a couple years back where a couple was charged with placing a camera in a ladies bathroom stall. IIRC, they had no "government employee" ties to make them newsworthy but obviously the fact that it was a male / female team committing the crime made it sensational enough for the press to report.
