Woman who abandoned newborn baby also charged with murder

A 35-year-old woman, who was arrested in June on suspicion of abandoning the corpse of her newborn baby girl in Iwamicho, Tottori Prefecture, has also been charged with murder.

According to police, Aya Namba, a part-time employee, gave birth to the infant at her residence on May 30. She then is believed to have placed the baby in a plastic bag and smothered her to death by covering her nose and mouth, Sankei Shimbun reported. Police said Namba has admitted to killing the baby.

Furthermore, the remains of another baby were discovered in a shed located on her property. Police are working to identify who that child was.

If she killed two defenseless newborns, she deserves a short drop with a sudden stop.

This is a case where forced sterilization would be justified.

As the father of a 10 month old boy, this makes me sick to my stomach and has ruined my day.

I disagree. Death is not a punishment; it's a release. Let her spend the rest of her days behind bars so she'll have time to think about what she's done.
