Could it be, that it is not so much the Chinese that have a problem understanding this, and a lot more the japanese and western dimwits, who only have a cliche about China in their heads?

Bravo to the person or persons at CCTV responsible for this broadcast. I can only hope they and their families don't end up in jail.

Well, enjoy that as long as it lasts. With the current trend of ever-growing and ever-more powerful government, you are on a path that will get you closer to China. Already they are gnawing at the edges of free speech everywhere.

In China you can get thrown into jail just for advocating democracy.

"The airing of the movie last Friday night on China Central Television stunned viewers and raised hopes that China is loosening censorship."

Most likely someone did not ask the right people for permission and will be visiting the firing squad very soon.
