She was great in the original episodes, but not in VII. Trying to bring Leia and Solo back in VII didn't appear to work. As for Skywalker, can't tell yet (haven't watched VIII yet). Anyway, I don't see the dilemma.

Oh, just have her die off in the next episode. People die. So do Jedis (well, their physical bodies do). The rebel forces will be led by another person/Jedi. Or the plot can change once again. No big deal. Looking forward to Episodes VIII by the way.

I agree, they can always rewrite the script or tweak it to accommodate her untimely loss.

How big is Star Wars size?

I'm glad I already saw it, as this is a huge spoiler. Very careless to put it in this article with the movie in the theaters still.

Stevie Nicks?.. I am not sure she could nail it? Why not calling Lynda Carter? She could nail it better.

I am glad they answered my question whether they were filming Episode 8 when she passed or if they were filming still. Now the question I have is Hans Solo officially gone or did he fall onto a hospital bed that did immediate surgery?

By having all three of them in the last episode, it gave validation and some intrigue to it. But the bottom line isn't "What are they going to do?" it's what are you going to do?

I am glad to see this series end. I hated them all but watched them to learn something about how bad a series can become.

Whatever they do, there will no doubt be another death star to destroy in the next flick..................

We have to know just what was completed in an early rough cut of the movie shown to Disney executives. If it means an important role for the Leia character in Episode IX, then there is a chance they may have to reshoot a number of scenes in Episode VIII, and that could result in Episode VIII being delayed from December 2017 to May or June 2018 for its release date.
