Int'l tour of Broadway musical 'Kinky Boots' coming to Japan

The international tour of Broadway's huge-hearted hit "Kinky Boots" arrives this fall in Tokyo's Tokyo Theatre Orb. With songs by the legendary pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this Tony-winning Best Musical is a one-of-a-kind musical celebration filled with incredible energy and an extremely powerful message.

Inspired by the true event, the musical depicts the story of a man named Charlie Price, a young man struggling to save his father's failing shoe factory that he has inherited. One day, Charlie happens to meet a fashionable drag queen named Lola who helps him to turn his business around by creating a brand new line of thigh-high cabaret boots for the drag community. As their partnership and unlikely friendship grow, they discover that they have more in common than they ever imagined.
