Most Muslims in Indonesia...are moderate.

"Moderate Muslims"? No such thing. The country's largest Islamic organization, to cite one example, sanctions female genital mutilation of young girls. There's nothing "moderate" about that.

I hope all this cultural respect as shown by Ms. Lopez is mutual. When Indonesian Muslim women come to the West, they should be made to ditch the burkhas. Many of us westerners find it offensive, after all.

Burkhas "offend" you? You, poor, delicate flower....

It's all about love and respect. She showed respect for their country and religion, and they returned the love. This made everyone happy in the end.

Count me along with the government of France, which is also fed up with forcing half the population to hide themselves from public view and has taken moves to ban it.

It's all about love and respect.

"Respect"??!? If Indonesia respected JLo, they would "respect" her right to express herself.

This is regrettable.

Good Lord, what commentaries..... all she did, was go for the money. Nothing wrong that, its legal, so why the hypocrisy?

Nothing illegal with going there for the money.

Personally i miss the days of artists banding together and shouting

I , I , I ,I ... Aint gonna play Sun City!

Squid, forget it, that was a long time ago, when there were other values than only greed were around...

Perhaps, if we take some money out of the music business equation we would get back artists who had other values?
