Korean group BIGBANG to release commemorative CD at Tokyo Dome

South Korean all-male band BIGBANG will release a mini-album to celebrate their first performance at Tokyo Dome.

The CD, titled “Special・Final・In・Dome・Memorial・Collection,” will coincide with the conclusion to their tour of three major domes in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka.

The mini-album, which contains six songs, includes each member’s solo. The tour finale will be held at Tokyo Dome on Dec 5. It will be the sixth dome concert for BIGBANG. More than 300,000 fans will have attended the concerts, organizers say.

Lets all go to this otherwise the South Koreans will accuse us of being anti Korean....

I guess the subtle nuances of English colloqialisms are lost on a all-male group of musicians calling themselves BIGBANG.

These they should change the name that is appropriate to fit what it is from BIGBANG to SMALLBANG.

The same can be said about the Japanese boy group 'Kinki Kids.'

I know. Maybe 'smallpop' would've been a better fitting name for them.

It's amusing, and quite sad, to see all the posters jealous of the success of SKoreans while Japanese bands can't make it to even CLOSE to the same success, even in Japan! I mean just look at the unwarranted, seething hatred:

genjuro: "I know. Maybe 'smallpop' would've been a better fitting name for them"

AKBfan: "I am waititng for their concert tour so I can go to the Dokdo concert."

sfjp330: "These they should change the name that is appropriate to fit what it is from BIGBANG to SMALLBANG."

etc.

I came on this thread to say I'm glad that the island issue has not stopped the exchance of music, art, and general culture as well as grassroots exchange between the peoples of both nations, but clearly a lot of Japanese posters are just as hell bent on making racial comments and keeping the dispute at all levels as the people they are supposedly mocking in said comments. Despite all the 'small bang' comments and what have you, this band and other K-pop bands (another article on Girls Generation as we speak is under Entertainment, as is Gangdam Style) are EXTREMELY successful not only in their home country and Japan, but elsewhere as well. So yes, quite a Big Bang indeed.

For all those mocking said bands, I suggest rather than wasting your energy being jealous and huffing and puffing about others' success, you think of ways you can contribute to Japanese bands accomplishing the same thing; and here's a little piece of advice if/when you do: little girls in panties rotating their hips won't win you fans in other nations -- it'll rightfully get you arrested.

Likely, but it beats a lot of the J-groups who try to use English in their names. I mean, "bump of chicken"? three guys who where make up and dress effeminitely can call themselves "Wings" or "Flames"? etc.

a lot less worse than the american band Faster Pussycat...and english is their first language too.
