Drummer, pianist and founder of popular rock group X Japan, Yoshiki will embark on a solo world tour this year, playing 10 gigs in eight countries.
Yoshiki announced the tour at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, Sankei Shimbun reported.
The museum is currently hosting an exhibition of Yoshiki's crystal piano and costumes -- the first exhibition for an Asian musician.
Yoshiki said the “YOSHIKI CLASSICAL WORLD TOUR 2014,” which starts on April 25, will take him to the U.S., UK, Russia, China and Mexico, among others. Venues will be prestigious halls which are used by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony.
Yoshiki said a Japan leg may be included in the tour.

Kind of funny date. My birthday... Also the first Japanese band I ever got into!

My glasses are "X Japan", which I found amusing. Glasses are pretty stylish, too!
