As the value of an MBA qualification continues to rise among Asian employers, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, compilers of the QS World University Rankings, are giving Japanese students the opportunity to meet with top business schools from around the world. The event, part of QS’s World MBA Tour, will occur in Osaka (Sept 1) and Tokyo (Sept 3).

Recent research conducted by QS indicates that now is an optimal moment for aspiring business leaders in Asia to take an MBA. This is evidenced by the increased rate of MBA hiring in the Asia-Pacific region. It is also evidenced by the increased salary and bonus average that MBA hires in the Asia-Pacific region earn. The previous year saw:

-- An 18% rise in MBA hiring in the Asia-Pacific region for 2014/15 – above the global average of 14% -- Total compensation for MBA graduates rising 11% in 2014/15. This means that an MBA graduate in the Asia-Pacific region can expect to earn, on average, US$95,200 when salary and bonuses are added together.

These figures mean that the region possesses a stronger MBA market than almost all other regions surveyed by QS. For example, only Asia-Pacific saw a rise in bonus figures, which now stand at an average of $26,000 per year.

QS’s events aim to put highly-motivated MBA candidates in touch with highly-ranked business schools from across the world. In doing so, they aim to give aspiring MBA candidates in Japan the strongest chance possible of achieving their academic and career ambitions. The events therefore include:

-- Direct, face-to-face meetings with admissions directors from some of the world’s top business schools -- Presentations and panel discussions featuring key decision-makers at participating business schools -- Workshops designed to ensure attendees receive the highest-possible GMAT score -- The opportunity to be entered for scholarships worth U.S.$1.7 million -- Advice on MBA admissions strategy -- The opportunity to discuss the MBA application process and experience with alumni from Harvard Business School, New York University – Stern and London Business School.

Top business schools in attendance include: Cornell University, Hult International Business School, Claremont Graduate University - Drucker School of Management, ESADE Business School, HEC Paris, IE Business School, Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Michigan, Ross - Global MBA, University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business, Washington University, Olin Business School, The University of Hong Kong and more.

The event will be held at Osaka Hilton Hotel at 4:30 p.m. on Sept 1 and at the Tokyo Westin hotel at 12:30 on Sept 3. Attendance is free for all pre-registering attendees. To reserve your place and begin your journey to one of the world’s top MBA programs, register at the websites below.
