Marunouchi presents the 5th Annual Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi exhibition at the Gyoko-Dori Underground Gallery July 3-31. The event showcases 30 contemporary art pieces by up-and-coming artists, many produced by university and graduate school art students from all over Japan.
The winning pieces will be selected by a panel of judges made up of a group of internationally renowned art professionals. Awards will be announced on July 3, including the H.P. France Award and French Embassy Prize which were newly established this year.
To date, a total of 188 artists have come out of the Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi over the past four years to be currently active in the forefront of the art community. One of those success stories is Jiro Konami, who received the Shu Uemura Award last year, and who now works for Shu Uemura on their advertising campaign.
