Close shave

Panasonic will in April release its ES-LA94, a new version of the Lamdash men’s shaver series. To emphasize the premium quality as the top-of-the-line shaver of the series, the unit comes with a transmissive liquid crystal display that provides information such as the battery power level.

The new version has the same Lamdash features including the four blades and motors that operate at 14,000 rpm. The head section vibrates vertically while the head itself moves right/left. This pivoting action of the multi-flexible active head guarantees a sharp and close shave along the contours of the face.

The price is open and expected to be sold at the retail price of about 45,000 yen.

Braun leaves every other shaver in the dust

Lamdash is the ferrari of shavers! It feels like your getting a massage while your shaving

You can keep your flashy, fancy hi-tech shavers - nothing shaves closer than a disposable razor!

Be careful when you buy these: the replacement foils (annually) and cutters (every other year) are very expensive (for this shaver, about 7,000 yen) - so your shaves are pricey. But they are great! Been using these lamdash shavers for years. But, well yeah, as Burakumin points out, a 100 yen blade will definitely give you a better cut.

As BD states, nothing as close as a real man's shaver, a good ol' disposable.

Is this only for shaving the face area?
