serendipitous
Trump won't win but it is a worry how close he came. It sounds like the US does want/need a viable third party so if that's still the case after the next 4 or 8 years with Hillary, then just make sure it's someone who can inspire and build consensus among people. The last thing the US and the world needs is a Trump-like person who just divides the populace.

In 1979 They left said, emphatically Reagan won't win either and then what?

The brain can rationalise and find comfort in all manners of insanity.

How many murders are on Clinton's conscience? Trump's actions have not led to deaths as Trump's have..............,

There is so much difference between Reagan and Trump that the comparison even boggles the mind.

I find nothing appealing about Donald. For the sake of humanity, he needs to go back to his gold chair, in his gold tower, and get out of politics.

America needs Trump. His more left field ideas will never get past Congress so he will be forced into the middle right ground which is exactly what America needs. Clinton is the politics of the old guard. The entitled elite who have held power for decades. Trump represents change and change brings opportunities just like AirBnB and Uber brought change to their industries, so Trump can bring change to the staid politics of America, but the elite sociopolitical classes do not like anything that challenges their power.

*so Trump can bring change to the staid politics of America, but the elite sociopolitical classes do not like anything that challenges their power * politics is all about money and power, Trump already has the money now he seeks the power to accompany it. Giving a recalcitrant egomaniac like Trump the power of POTUS is just plain dangerous

A classic example of Trumpian logic.

"The left this, liberals that..." (yawn). Actually you bring the immortal words of Ronald Reagan to mind:
