Internal struggle, law exceptions between and for nations, UnUnified currency, excessive Union interference with the international affairs - the threads will not hold. Unity is all, it was a good dream. Too bad they did not have good people to bring it forth.

Written by some one who has not the faintest idea about their subject matter or deliberately misleading to support pre-existing viewpoint. A classic example of bad journalism.

If EU hadn't seized control of so many aspects of people's lives not just in Britain, but in Europe in general, there wouldn't have been a referendum. There wouldn't be anyone crying "take back control" because they'd still have it. Rather than parroting this phrase, which sounds rather dangerous now that the EU is saying it, they should be vowing to give back control, to each of the member countries. Instead of trying to force unity and hurting innocent people, they should be working with the member countries to work together towards attaining unity diplomatically. The EU's meddlesome nature is just one of many reasons why I and many others in Britain voted Leave. Chanting "take back control" sounds like they in fact haven't learned anything and are repeating the same mistakes again. That really will be the death knell of the EU then.

Britain got it wrong with Brexit, but is way too proud to admit it. The European Union should help save face. Doing nothing for now might be the best course for both sides.

Yes, the 52% got it wrong, but there is no going back now. You can't ignore a democratic vote. Article 50 will be triggered next year.

Meh. Europe can move forward with or without the UK.

If 52% of citizens of a nation "got it wrong" (in your eyes) while deciding the future of their country, are they really worth all the trouble? It is democracy after all. Any move against the referendum will break that phantom majority system apart.

Britain got it wrong with Brexit

Like Greece "got it right" kowtowed to the EU Mandarins and had austerity rammed up its fundamental sovereignty?

What ever the future may bring for good or ill, the British people chose to control their own destiny rather than be dictated to by a bunch of superannuated un-elected eurocrats whose snouts are so deep in the trough as to have lost sight of the actual people of Europe.

Now at least if our leaders cock it up we can vote them out.
