People will believe just about anything...except the truth.

If you do not believe 9/11 was a conspiracy, then you would have to believe that one or two men did it.

Everybody thinks 9/11 was a conspiracy. The official report says it was a conspiracy. Its just a question of who you think was involved and who wasn't. But the act of thinking some certain people just could not be involved is just as tin foil hat time as being sure they were without proof. And there is circumstancial proof that the official story is not the full story. Even the chairmen of the 9/11 commission have problems with the official story, and if they wear tin foil hats, they must be the top secret invisible government type of tin foil hat. Those guys seem reasonable to me.

Conspiracies are a form of compensation. Politically disaffected folks who espouse them get to feel vindicated;ignorant people who subscribe to them get to feel they are sophisticated.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Who knows who did it.

I just find it impossible to believe that two aircraft caused three buildings to collapse - PERFECTLY - in their own footprint, giving every appearance of CONTROLLED DEMOLITION.

Were bombs placed in the buildings before the planes hit?

Was this a Hollywood version of Pearl Harbor, to convince the public that wars against Iraq and Afghanistan were justified?

Bush, Cheney and Blair screamed that they knew that Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction and that they even knew exactly where they were.

But there wasn't a single thing.

Nothing.

Bin Laden was the CIA darling prior to this.

Yet, we are to believe that, in spite of suffering from kidney failure and being on dialysis in 2001, Bin Laden survived, to be killed by a team of Navy Seals and the body dumped at sea so that there was no way to identify it.

I don't know about conspiracy theories, but there sure are a lot of unanswered questions.

Well@johninnaha, you guys have had 10 years to come up with the "facts." Nobody's holding a gun to anyone's head a warning you off. So what is the answer? And if 10 years aren't enough, how much longer will we have to wait for it?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

At the time, Sen. Dayton of Minnesota, in front of a congressional committee and the 9/11 committee, pointed out numerous errors in the "official story" of what happened on 9/11.

The video can be found on youtube.

conspiracy theories thrive

That is not correct. Many facts only: "Fahrenheit 9/11".

In 9/11 falling 3 building, but exists only two Airplanes. Why USA congress don't discuss about thrift building?

VirtuosoAug. 26, 2011 - 06:13PM JST

And if 10 years aren't enough, how much longer will we have to wait for it?

I suppose next thing you will say is that the Freedom of Information act has made all information free!

I suppose you might have to wait until some of us put on our ninja suits and break into heavily guarded buildings and raid the files marked "top secret", as well as kidnap and waterboard certain person's of interest, including Dick Cheney, if his heart will take the torture.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Virtuoso-san,

I'm one guy.

I'm not part of a movement, I'm politically neither left nor right and I don't think I'm liberal either.

I don't represent anybody.

My nationality is British, but I'm ashamed of my country's part in the Iraq and Afghanistan "wars."

I don't care what the "investigation" of 9/11 say they found, I'm convinced that we don't have all the answers.

It's a physical impossibility for those two planes and the planes ALONE to have pulled down the Twin Towers and the Building Number 7.

There's PLENTY of evidence of this, all over the internet.

There seems to be a type of person who brings out the "Conspiracy Theory" line whenever disbelief at the official line about 9/11 is stated.

Yelling "Conspiracy Theory" answers nothing.

OF COURSE it was a conspiracy, whomever you believe was behind it, Al Qaeda, Bin Laden et al., Cheney, the CIA.

There's NOTHING theoretical about that.

I think it's time for a REAL investigation, done by a completely independent body to be done.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I think it's time for a REAL investigation, done by a completely independent body to be done.

Would not matter. Neither the FBI nor the CIA will cooperate.

Commission chairmen Lee H. Hamilton and Thomas H. Kean accused the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of making a conscious decision to impede the commission’s inquiry

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_the_9/11_Commission

And FBI also suppressed information about early investigations of these men who took flight lessons but did not care to learn about landing, and at least one whisleblower was surpressed over it apparently.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

9/11 con. theorists are the same type of losers who don't believe in the moon landings. Every one I've met in the flesh has been ignorant and/or the anti-social type who desperately wants to imagine themselves smarter than everyone else. Brietbart said it best.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Hey, we don't have multiple 3rd party proofs that man landed on the moon yet too, hahaha.

Where is airplane that falling on Pentagon? Evaporated? May be David Kopperfild organize teract? Also Ben Laden, that gay had TWO higher education in USA, that gay had very lovely connections with CIA. Would Ben Laden Hollywood actor?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

@hoserfellaAug. 27, 2011 - 02:20PM JST

Russia sent in space some animals only after check health of animals sent human. USA don't sent some animals on Moon, not check their health, but sent some people. Why USA politics don't worry about live spaceman's? Also why USA sent people to dark side but not light side?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

BessonovYan- I had no idea Bin Laden was gay! That might explain how he could be a Hollywood actor! Maybe 9/11 WAS a conspiracy!!

Conspiracies are part and parcel of the web-connected world we live in. You bring up a Minn senator, but a quick check of mark dayton shows this wealthy, elitist aristo-brat is a complete flake - a confessed alcoholic who is prone to relapses and has a history of battles with mental illness. He humiliated his state when he alone fled his D.C. senate office in 2004, fearing a terrorist was imminent. (He was a flee bagger ahead of his time, you could say.)Time mag ,in 2006, dubbed him 'The Blunderer.' He doesn't really bolster your case.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

breitbart,

Why do you have to lower yourself to character assassination of Gov. Dayton? It doesn't speak well of you. Focus on the points he brought up in the video instead of looking only at the man.

Would it be fair for us to judge your posts based solely on your looking up andrew breitbart? No, it wouldn't. We judge you by your posts, not by his skeeviness.

Judge Dayton by the contents of his argument, that's all I ask.

You have to appreciate how those who believe the official story and refuse to think the CIA could have had anything to do with it will not attack the character and patriotism of patriots like Lee Hamiliton and Thomas Kean. They just skate right around them hoping we don't notice.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Breitbart just hit the consp. theorists where it hurts; fact-checking. And once again, the facts turn up a mentally unstable, self-loathing (gave himself an "F" for his performance in the senate), depressed, twice-divorced alcoholic as their savior. Ouch...

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

oracle

And in looking at your fellow human beings you have to marvel at how enduring and almost quasi-religious is the need for some crazy or exotic or thrilling alternative explanation needed when we are faced with the banality of evil and its omnipresence. The enormity of events like 9-11 is too much for some. Tying together gossamer threads, chasing phantoms and in oracle's case demonizing anyone but those responsible is the coping mechanism.

Don't forget - in the 500,000 plus Wikileaks cables released, there is not a shred of evidence to support any of the wild and contradictory claims made by da Troofer movement.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Ive said this before and Ill say it again. I almost feel sorry for the conspiracy theorists because of their inability to deal properly with trauma. I remember watching 9/11 unfold on television with 2 friends. One left the room after about 10 minutes, angry at us for continuing to watch. I'm sure he's out there somewhere today claiming its all a conspiracy.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

breitbart,

Let me offer you some advice as well. If you are going to go after after someone's intelligence like you did with Gov. Dayton, get your post correct on the first try.

Really, who is "the blunderer" here?

This isn't amateur hour.

BUILDING NUMBER 7

Three buildings went down on 9/11. The Twin Towers that were hit by airliners and Building Number 7.

All three of these went down in "accordion style," they didn't topple, but fell straight down.

Larry Silverstein invested $386 million in Building Number 7. In a TV interview, Larry Silverstein admits that he ordered the demolition of his building. His exact words were, "We made the decision to pull (demolish) the building."

In February 2002, his company won a settlement of $861 million from Industrial Risk Insurers.

500 million bucks!

Not a bad profit!

ADVANCED EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS FOUND AT GROUND ZERO

If anyone wants to check facts, here would be a good place to start.

This is a scientific paper that shows evidence of advanced explosive material in the rubble at Ground Zero.

MORE ON BUILDING NUMBER 7

The collapse of WTC Building 7 shows five characteristics of a controlled demolition:

1) It dropped directly into its own footprint in a smooth, vertical motion;

2) It collapsed completely in less than seven seconds;

3) Dust streamed out of the upper floors of Building 7 early in its collapse;

4) WTC 7s roof inverted toward its middle as the collapse progressed; and

5) WTC 7s rubble was mostly confined to the block on which the building stood.

WTC Building 7 - on its 23rd floor - housed an Emergency Command Center for the City of New York that Mayor Rudolph Giuliani had built in the mid-1990's.

On the morning of September 11th, Mayor Giuliani did not go to his Command Center - with its clear view of the Twin Towers - but to a makeshift, street-level headquarters at 75 Barkley Street.

WTC 7 also held the offices of numerous government agencies, including the Department of Defense, the CIA, the Secret Service, the IRS, and the Security and Exchange Commission.5 Late 2001 was the time of the height of the investigation into Enron, so the majority of Enrons SEC filings were likely destroyed when World Trade Center 7 came down.

There is no one single thread that binds all truthers except that they doubt the official story. To judge all truthers by the fact that their claims contradict is like me judging all Republicans by you and David Duke. But no surprise that this is precisely what you do while refusing to comment on the fact that patriots such as Lee Hamilton and Thomas Kean can also be described as truthers.

The greatest fools are in the truther camp, but so are the most wise. Those who completely believe the official version of events are what I would call mediocre fools. They might entertain the notion that their is corruption in the FBI and CIA, but then act like there isn't when something like this comes up.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Oracle, I too notice this tendency to lump people together and give them a name.

As if this, and the label "Conspiracy Theory," are enough to put them down.

I cannot speak for anyone else, because each person has made up his or her mind based on the information they have been presented with.

I do not profess to have any answers.

I do, however, have a TON of questions.

There was a "National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States," but this was anything BUT independent.

Bush and Cheney gave evidence in a "private meeting" that was NOT under oath and that was NOT recorded.

There is more than sufficient evidence for the need for a real, independent investigation into what actually happened at 911.

I think there should be one.

Back down? What makes you think I was backing down? If you believe the words "Can't prove anything!" make you pure as snow and free of suspicion, well, that's you isn't it? Even though I am agnostic, I do hope for a Heaven, because it will be great entertainment listening to them try and explain their way through the Pearly Gates.

I did not back down nor posted anything I can't prove in this thread, as far as things can be proven in this world. I have good reason for doubt.

Oracle - Your posts on this matter suggest a vast conspiracy by what must be hundreds, if not thousands, of high-level Americans to kill their own countrymen in cold blood (for reasons you haven't explained). Where is your proof?

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Um, sorry to interrupt this thread, but Breitbart is wanted over at the Hurricane Irene story to explain his recent conspiracy-ish theories about Hurricane Katrina. A response on that topic without any delusions of sophistication would be much appreciated!

Go ask Lee Hamilton and Thomas Kean your questions. Or do you have no particular grudge against them to accuse them of such a ridiculous implication?

Lots of us have scientific brains which question things and do not believe propaganda peddled by the government-sponsored mass media. The Truth is Out There, and The Truth Shall Set You Free. if you only have eyes to see and ears to listen. JFK was not murdered by Lee Harvey Oswald. It was a massive conspiracy. Marlyn Monroe, his lover, was also murdered, as was Princess Diana more recently. I have my doubts that man has landed on the Moon. If Man did land on the Moon, why, with all the increased technology, has there not been a return trip in over 30 years? The jury is still out on 9/11 - but there is no doubt that there are massive loopholes in the official version of events. Do UFOs and aliens exist? No, definately not. Anthropogenic Global Warming is a massive scam, and is being used to foist a New World Order/One World Government upon us. Darwinism is mostly deception, and following its precepts led to Naziism and other similar "Master Race" ideologies. That will do for starters.

Thats why the internet and its anonymity is your only forum.

Yeah, but google "Sylvester Stallone is a woman", for example, and you get 5,440,000 hits ( I just tried it). So it doesn't mean all that much....

0 ( +0 / -0 )

lucabrasi - very interesting!

I tried it and got a few more hits than you did for "Sylvester Stallone is a woman."

Once you start to look at some of the hits that come up, however, you get an idea what is going on.

The google search engine just presents sites that have one or more of the keywords in what you ask it to search for. So, you're going to get anything that includes "Sylvester" "Stallone" and "woman."

Clicking through a couple of pages didn't show up even one site where the author believes that SS lacks the equipment that us guys have.

On the other hand, "911 lies" turns up pages and pages and pages of people who doubt the truth of the official line.

You're right, of course...thought I was on to something with Mr Stallone there for a minute.... :)

lucabrasi -

I got more hits on "Sylvester Stallone is gay."

I have the total solution and will present it here. Suffering from a rare condition after eating far too many peanut butter and bacon sandwiches, Elvis decided that he should not only be the king of rock n' roll, but the king of the world as well. Step 1 - eliminate JFK. He knew that Oswald would botch the attempt, despite being an expert marksman, so he gave him a crappy Italian rifle and hid on the grassy knoll to finish the job himself. He would later fake his own death and spend some time traveling around the American west, often impersonating himself in Vegas to earn funding. Eventually he decided to take out the Saudi King - well, because he was a king. He employed both Marlyn Monroe, very alive and well, and Jim Morrison to help. They duped some Saudis into flying the planes, but secretly planted C-4 throughout the WTC to bring down the towers. The idea was the the Bush administration would blame the Saudis and take out the king. Instead Bush invaded Iraq. Fly in the ointment, but Elvis knew that Saddam must go as well, so not a total loss. Eventually 'the King' and Marlyn Monroe settled down in a an exclusive compound in Pakistan. But Marlyn still had her youthful beauty, and Elvis was still suffering from a peanut allergy that affected clear thinking. In a fit of jealous rage he super-glued an Osama mask onto Marlyn's face and called US special forces to come and get her. Now Elvis, Jim Morrison and Michael Jackson live in an awesome 'bachelor pad' in the Gulf of Mexico where they spend their free time trying to blow up oil rigs and in creating hurricanes with a storm machine given to them by Stephen Hawkings.

Strange but true. And no more silly than all these idiotic conspiracy theories. The truth is stranger than fiction.
