Trump released a statement saying the president “should step down” — a provocative response that far exceeds the typical Republican criticism of Obama’s approach to extremism.

The fascist Donald J. Trump, who refused to condemn Holocaust Denier David Duke's endorsement, now proposes the forcible removal of the President of the United States.

Trump is hardly the first politician to try to capitalize on a tragedy, though he’s more blatant than most in connecting his electoral prospects to incidents of unimaginable suffering.

“We can’t afford to be politically correct anymore,” Trump declared Sunday.

Donald J. Trump has personally decided to suspend the rule of law, the U.S. Constitution and any sense of decency.

Pray that the racists and bigots that crave Donald J. Trump's hatred as their license to kill, won't.

The incident will be a "Trump bump," giving him higher ratings in the polls.

Maybe if Obama and Clinton could have forced themselves to say the words "radical Islam, " etc. and be more forthright on the issue of Jihadi terrorism, which has killed more Americans that right-wing terrorism, fewer Americans would have starting developing the cynicism that is propelling Trump higher and higher.

Trump said in an interview on Fox News Channel Monday morning that when it comes to fighting terrorism, the president “doesn’t get it or, or he gets it better than anybody understands.”

Donald J. Trump's next tactic? Calling the President of the United States a traitor. Trump, who ran from service in Vietnam and then made war on Disabled American Veterans at Trump Towers New York.

Is this it? The choice is between Trump or Clinton?

There is something very wrong with the U.S.A.

Democrats will always throw one of their own under the bus.

If all we get out of this election is that more people realize what you said, then I will considered it a success. Sadly, though, I think that rather than reflect on what went wrong, people will just look for scapegoats. It was Pogo who said "We have met the enemy, and he is us."

Do the Republicans have any direct or indirect involvement in this shootout incident?

The timing of this incident seems to be apt for Republicans to gain some loosing ground in the forthcoming elections.

Or maybe I am just thinking wild here.

If current trends hold, there will be more deadly mass shootings in the U.S. before voters head to the polls in November. - article

Strangely, that's Trump's campaign strategy. The old advertising cliché, "Scare and Sell"

Of course, it's also good for business. The business of selling guns.

The killer was of a Muslim background. And he hated gays. Then, seconds before he decided to start murdering innocent victims, he tried to ally himself with radical Islamists, having been unknown to them before. There are disturbing elements wherever you look with this story, but the fact remains that if he had not had access to guns the way he did, we would not be reading about this story.

Well, yeah. But America wouldn't be free then . . . to have as many guns as they want for no reason but to have as many guns as they want. That's called Freedom. It's why Betsy Ross discovered America.

Yep, take everybody's guns. That has always worked out well in history. Funny thing these terrorists attacks seldom happen at gunshows.

Like Obama, Clinton prefers to avoid early missteps even if that leaves her looking overly cautious. On Sunday, she waited for the president to declare the shooting an “act of terror” before doing the same.

How about showing a little initiative Hillary? As soon as we heard the shooter was of Afghan descent and named Omar Mateen, the math isn't that hard.

What, are you too "pc" to go out on a limb? Even obama calls it an act of terror, but won't further define it as an attack from radical islam. Pathetic.

The culprit was a home grown American religious extremist. Doesn't matter what his name was or who his parents were. He had 4th amendment rights unless proven otherwise in a court of law.

The banning of extremist weapons for anyone to purchase must come to and end. The NRA needs to be labelled a terrorist organization and all its board members hauled away to face litigation directly against life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

Yep sf2k you are sadly CORRECT!!

This perpetrator is as American as any of the others who have got a hold of guns & went on a killing spree, just another nut job of which there are a GREAT many in the NRA!!

I too have also said the NRA is a real danger to American society, if there were checks needed a great many would not likely be allowed to own fire arms & that's why they back the NRA.

The US is a dangerous place, that goodness I don't live in the ""greatest"" country in the world, no thanks!

Come on you yanks you all should be able to do much better, start shaping up before its too late!

We now know that the shooter was a deeply disturbed individual, American born and raised, and not part of any terrorist network. So, Mr. Trump's comments are, once again, idiotic, out of touch with reality, and, as usual, a mish mash word salad. It would be bad enough if he were just another private citizen, ranting and raving, but to think that he is the Republican Party candidate for President is shocking, and absurd. At a point in our collective history where we need the absolute best leaders possible, we are faced with the possibility of voting into office one of the worst leaders imaginable.

How about radical lslam?

Clinton helped put groups like Isis and Muslim brotherhood in power and opened the door to everything from a rape slave industry to recruitment of deranged people in the US. She is part of the problem. Her answer is typical left wing progressive nonsense. Pretend it isn't anything more than a hate crime and declare that somehow other people owning guns caused the murderer to murder. Her logic, terrorists exist because guns exist and we must understand the minds of rape slavers and psycho killers.

Trump, has no history of starting wars and getting people killed. He is targeting the exact violent thug groups and realizes we don't know what to do with rape slavers recruiting or dealing with nuts who listen to their message. So stopping travel until we can figure out what to do is the correct path. Certainly more practical than hillary

It's a bit crazy that Trump responds to Orlando with a ban on immigration from nations that sponsor terror, as Omar Mateen was born in the US and back when his parents immigrated the Mujahadeen were looked on favorably by the US because they were fighting a war against the USSR in a time when the US couldn't consider that there could be any other conflict between nations other than a showdown between communism and capitalism.

His ban would have instead blocked people fleeing repressive regimes in Cuba and Iran though.

as far as the "Clinton opened the door for Isis etc." I beg to differ...G. Bush went into Iraq when not one of the 9-11 hijackers were Iraqi...kinda missed the target...
