14 Comments

Former England soccer player David Beckham watches players from an under-16 team from Kumamoto Prefecture during a 5-a-side match at a charity event for quake-hit Kumamoto in Tokyo on Thursday. Beckham, 41, who is also a brand ambassador for Singapore's resort hotel, Marina Bay Sands, attended the "Beyond Expectations" party in the evening in Tokyo.

You don't see many England players doing charity work unlike Beckham.

I've seen loads. I know you hate England but don't denigrate individuals who decent work. It's low and unpleasant.

Did he get to visit an onsen during this trip?

sabishisou! Some rumours about stoush with Posh recently.

He looks a bit like Aaron Eckardt there.

But @Junizo is right about Becko doing lots of charity work, but other celebrity players do too though.

@luca

Just hope Beckham isn't reading this. Remember that he's volatile - he can play in a variety of positions.
