Wow! Very dynamic jump! Paralympics are relatively low profile compared to Olympics. We sometimes tend to forget that Paralympic games are held after Olympic games. I want to take my hat off to Paralympic athletes' efforts. Thanks for the very inspiring photo!

wikipedia says: "2006年9月に、仕事中の事故で右足の膝から下を切断" - in September 2009, her lower leg was amputated from the knee down, due to an accident at work.
It doesn't specify what that accident was though.

After graduating from high school, she now and then helped out at a friends construction company. One day, at a construction site, 5 ton steel beams toppled over, one falling on her leg.
She ended up 4th in the long jump.
