The pix would have been a lot better when the lotus put flowers in late July and early August.

The pond in Ueno park brings back old memories from when I used to go there to fool around in Ueno area. But mind you, I was not a lotus-eater at all. ;‑)

A local news story here is Shiga was that a place usually famous for it's lotus didn't have any flowering this year.... Too hot?
