Is it me, or they have put on few more kilos?

3 ( +11 / -8 )

These young ladies used to have such pretty legs. What happened? The shoes?

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Girl..second from the left.. .. sooooo sexy!!!.. 美味しいそう!!

4 ( +5 / -2 )

They sure didn't look that nice during the Korean War! Osakaretired

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Take a trip to Korea... 99% of the women do not look like this but they have switched to Japanese styles and make up like the Thais have the past few years. I hear girls get an eye job for HS grad gift. Fellas get out of the crib and go downtown- the same is right there. Actually to be honest most of the strippers in Shinjuku look like this, no offense. J-pop and K-pop...lol, a riot... I heard Korea has like 30 boy bands. Kimchee...I love you baby...take me back in your arms, pass the Jinro and Mild Seven.

-11 ( +3 / -13 )

Nice picture....

Is it me, or they have put on few more kilos?**

No. This is how they look usually, unlike their extremely SKINNY MALNOURISHED-looking japanese counterparts. At 30 I realize that I'll never look better than now, and that's because I'm carrying a bun inside the oven (9 months/3 weeks) Unfortunately I'm very quick to lose weight and go back to the dreaded 55 kilos at 164cm. Being too skinny isn't that healthy especially when you have 4 children. I feel sad for these celebrities that starve in order to look tiny. I wish I could gain at least 5 more kilos and keep that curvy tone that Mr. BlueWitch enjoyed every pregnancy. I guess once I deliver, I'll go back again to look like a dry fish. lol Anyway, these girls are beautiful and look very healthy. Best Wishes to them! =)

-2 ( +6 / -9 )

Is it me, or they have put on few more kilos?

Yeah, it's just you. That's a great looking lineup - very healthy young ladies.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

They got all their fame showing off their buttocks; see what they show their fans when they have got the fame! Disappointing!

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

I would like to Love 1 of those fine women.

2 ( +3 / -2 )

They are beautiful!!

2 ( +4 / -2 )

I'm not too fond of their outfits and certainly not of their shoes. They are, however, very pretty.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Excellent!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Does Asia have any real bands or just factory type mass produced pap?

-13 ( +2 / -14 )

5 girls can easily beat 48 girls

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Gorgeous, don't care if they sing or not. But J-Girls are the best!

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Does Asia have any real bands or just factory type mass produced pap?

Of course.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

While I'm not a fan of manufactured pop, I do wish these ladies well. And no...they're not fat. They're actually quite beautiful. But I live in Seattle Washington USA (used to live in Atlanta), so I see beautiful women of every complexion all the time. :)

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

They are beautiful.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Smorkian; I know there are some, though not many of real creativity but JT always seems to focus on scantily clad women pf manufactired trashy bands who have no or little talent.

How about some photos of young ladies wearing knee length dresses showing some cakes and pastries they have just baked? No, that wouldn't get JT the jits from the sexists that seem to love drooling at these pics here.

-11 ( +2 / -12 )

Steve,

No, that wouldn't get JT the jits from the sexists that seem to love drooling at these pics here.

I find your posts interesting, because they are at least different, and I wonder what makes you really tick. And I preface with that because I don't want you to think what I am about to say is an attempt to 'bash' you. Sexism is relagating women to traditionally defined roles, or stereotyping people according to gender. Now, you clicked on this picture just like I did. To look I wonder? Maybe. To say that someone is attractive, or healthy looking is not sexist. But to suggest that they wear old school dresses and do traditional cooking crafts just might be. You see, these girls might be breaking old, traditional social structures in Korea that decree that men are the bread winners of a family and the heads of the household, and that women are home meakers and child raisers. They are empowering themselves. Part of doing that is by presenting themselves as best they see fit. Now, this is not a video clip, so I can't judge them on their musical talents, but I can look at them and comment that they look great. I'm not being sexist, I'm just making an observation.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

These girls are pretty hot! I bite my knuckles as I look at this picture.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Tamarama; Maybe tehy are "empowering" themselves, but they are making moeny men rich not to much themselevs. I don't find it very empowering when women neglect their duties and seek fame and fortune instead or being commited to their child raising duites as nature intended.

I posted on this topic as i saw remarks before the photograph. "Sexism" is a word, in fact being a housewife and mother is no relegation,. in fact it is the worlds most important job that women do best. These women are not even a real band, it is fake like todays societies and the disgusting femisism that has destroyed the family unit.

The shorter the skirt the better, the thinner the better, the bigger the chest the best. More plastic surgery madame? Enpowered? I say, no way. This image and the expectations are dragging women to a low level in society while the media constantly tells them their lives have never been better.

Open your eyes women, you are being exploited bby the money men and your families are suffering.

-15 ( +1 / -15 )

I think the girls look great and I hope they succeed in doing what they are doing. Eventually they will age and fall back into more traditional roles such as opening their own talent agencies, pushing both young men and women into show business.

Kara and others are the new generation and will further push equality amongst the genders. Power to them.

On a personal note, ladies have always had more power than men. And always will. Women make the men do the dirty work...like commuting. Terrible.

Women in business are smart enough to weigh the whole thing, made rational decisions, and never commute like the silly men do.

Men look at women, and women can make them cup cakes, but the control, such as the Kara girls are doing is fantastic! Yes, we can make all men turn into cup cakes.

Men, please take a step to the back of the stage.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

My2sense: "Take a trip to Korea... 99% of the women do not look like this but they have switched to Japanese styles and make up like the Thais have the past few years. I hear girls get an eye job for HS grad gift."

The latter part of this comment is BS, and just as many if not more Japanese get 'pucchi surgery' as Koreans, they just aren't as open about it. In fact, they had a variety show episode on this and asked all of the 20 or so 'talent' on the show to state anonymously if they had or didn't have cosmetic surgery and more than half said they had (no names, though). Anyway, the myth that all Korean women get surgery is 100% crap, and I'm not even sure why the whole myth is a big issue except that a number of Japanese women are jealous of the looks of a few Korean celebrities (and they shouldn't be).

That said, I agree with you that not all Korean women look like these girls, but disagree with the subtle nuance that Japanese style and make up are in some way superior. I definitely think Japanese clothing style is a step up in terms of going out and about the town, but you know I like how a lot of Korean ladies keep their hair its natural colour and are more concerned with comfort than trying to make people drool over them.

Steve: "No, that wouldn't get JT the jits from the sexists that seem to love drooling at these pics here."

This may come as a newsflash, but finding women attractive is not sexist. Men commenting on a picture of women is not sexist, either. Sexist would be saying these young women should be at home with aprons on. Is it sexist if there's a picture of Arashi on here and women talk about how much they love them? Your 'logic' is bizarre.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

smithinjapan; Actually my logic is progressive. You and many others are stick in a traditional view moulded by the media. Yes it would be sexist if it were scantily dresed men and women with low values drooled over them on a public forum.

-10 ( +1 / -10 )

@smithin japan: I never wear an apron, but I control the cupcake and make him wear the apron while I finish business on time. You seem like a nice man. Not sure about your talento info though. Talents I believe if they are high on the regular talent list of being pushed on TV are paid to for the cosmetic surgery.

Imoto-san is the only one that does not take up the offers.

I will look at your other postings later or tomorrow. Got some other things to do.

Wishing luck on Kara and J-Pop girl and guy groups too. 頑張ります

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You have a point Smith and I retract a bit of my statement. Korean gals are hot natural and the Japanese gals are pretty juiced up. The eye lash section at Donki is bigger than my kitchen. Love the Korean gal on the new Hawaii Five-0. Sorry fellas.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

@my2sense: Us Gals accept the sorry too! ;-) Smiles

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

We have people bashing my views as ever, yet they shoot themsleves in the foot with their posts. These women are pressured into having plastic surgery. that is hardly being empowered, that is exploitation. Women are pressured to having the body than society deems perfect at the time. Empowered? hardly, more like enslaved and entranced by the media and fashion elite.

Women they want you to work so you buy more of their superficial junk and "enhance" your bodies while all the time you think you are "liberated". These women are a sign of that all looks, no substance, no message, no quality.

These women are showing what is wrong with society. Dressed the same like sheep that do as they are told and the big bucks go to men running the industry. Who is empowered, who has the power?

-8 ( +2 / -9 )

They´re good and pretty, and they were magnificent at 千葉市. Let me correct some of the comments:

1-Steve, you are wrong or naive: Last January each KARA member got us$285,000 for this(http://bit.ly/qXbhKw ). No one can say DSP is doing anything wrong. Book writers make 4-10% everywhere, too. You can´t put millions and make nothing. So they are entitled to. W/o them Kara would not exist. Also thanks to Universal Music.

2-KARA is factory mass produced. Yes. Just look at ballerinas, cooks, soldiers, medics, engineers, etc: they got into a "factory" ( a university for example) to learn, practice, be tested, choose, and perform. You need training. Kara has being 4 years doing this... sometimes sweating and crying because their shows demands sacrifice and determination. Choreagraphies and singing is quite demanding. It is a career.

3- Park Gyuri, Han Seung-yeon, Nicole Jung, Goo Hara, and Kang Jiyoung are also persons, with dreams and problems... they are all grown girls and I am sure they love what they do. Do not make them into mothers with 5 kids and a chief-husband if they dont want that. There is plenty of time for that.

KARA is a HOT and great group, and we fans are proud and back them!

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Women are empowered. Sheep Baaaah Baaah. Men Beeeg Beg Beg!

Case rested.

I love Kara and all the other women bands. I like the guy bands too, but they are controlled by women managers. Appropriate.

Overall, the world would be boring if we did not have bands like these. I appreciate it.

Anyone want a cupcake? Sorry, he is taken!

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

smith, I think we've gone over this before. "just as many if not more Japanese get 'pucchi surgery' as Koreans" is absolute BS. Please provide the facts. I'll go first and list a link:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/4229995.stm

According to this article, 50% of young Korean women have had cosmetic surgery. Please tell me with a straight face that more than half of young Japanese women have had cosmetic surgery. I'll just be ROFLMAO.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@bicultural: I have not, so add me to the stats. You would like me. Kara girls would too. They have not had any body changes from what I have read. They look great as do most young women, and men too. Youth is nice. I enjoy it!

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

steve@cp..you think these women want your boo hoo hoo sympathy..they're rich(they've had some trouble there but it will come)and very, very successful..it's pop music for goodness sake , they are good at it and that's all that matters !!

2 ( +3 / -1 )

calam down "that's all that mattere". Yup, that says it all 21st Century shallowness in one phrase. what you just said demonstrates all that is wrong with this.

Also pleasetry not to be rude. Nowhere did i try to sympathise with "these" women. I stated facts and how this is an example of lifestyles for women being made worse by society of which this meaningless fake blandness is a priem example.

-8 ( +0 / -7 )

Actually, these women are fantastic!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Sarge; I would not expect you to say anything else.

-7 ( +0 / -6 )

Their outfits are also fantastic, I must find out who the designer is and congratulate him / her.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Steve: " Actually my logic is progressive. You and many others are stick in a traditional view moulded by the media."

If your logic is 'progressive', it means it is not developed but in the process of becoming so. But that's been a given since you started posting.

bicultural: "According to this article, 50% of young Korean women have had cosmetic surgery."

First of all, your link doesn't work. Second, my guess is that it's a survey, and if so that would prove my point -- Korean people have little or no qualms about admitting surgery while the Japanese hide it as a dirty secret. I don't think at all that 50% of Japanese have cosmetic surgery (I merely said you'd be surprised by the number who do!), but I also doubt that what is likely to be survey of a few people means the entire population of Korean women surgically alter themselves. Surely you're better than that, my friend, to post such nonsense. Or are you telling me the BBC has a consensus on who has had surgery in Korea?

"Please tell me with a straight face that more than half of young Japanese women have had cosmetic surgery. I'll just be ROFLMAO."

I'll tell you what, you tell me that I said that more than 50% of Japanese women have had cosmetic surgery, until then... I hope that while you're laughing on the floor at yourself you stop, get up, read the comments at hand, and try to use a little rational thought.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Steve@CPFC,

How about some photos of young ladies wearing knee length dresses showing some cakes and pastries they have just baked?

Wow and heres me thinking that the barefoot pregnant and chained to the kitchen sink mentality went out in the 50's. Guess it must still have a few diehards floating around.

If these girls want to use their looks and talents to make a career for themselves good on them. Some men can appreciate a good looking woman for just that and not sit here drooling over them. It must be hard though for some seeing all these women succeeding outside the house and domestic duty arena?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

All this from a picture of a few singers; people have problems when they have to misdirect their anger and feelings to turn it into what it's become. I might be included, but only as defense.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

smithinjapan; Please try not to be rude when posting about my rearks.

If you believe that your views, ideas and morals are developed then you are stuck somewhere else in the past. Times, Life progress everyday and improvements are there to be found and by progressively seeking better ways this also mean admitting that in the past your own view may have been wrong. This is something i think you and many are incapable of. Rather than looking at these women and just making comments on their appearance, why not dig deeper about why they look like that, what effect does it have on society. Do we want music with depth and meaning or thos ewho fitr a ceryain ideal who are moulded into the latsest trend. Who will do exactly as told, wiull not speak out about certain things their management tell them to. it is modern day slavery, with cash rewards at the end. sadly many people want this, cash before morals without question.

What this type of band does is make women weaker and insecure. Make them want body shapes and features that they cannot attain. They don't promote string women and power, they promote blandness and apathy.

-5 ( +2 / -6 )

JapanGal: "I never wear an apron, but I control the cupcake and make him wear the apron while I finish business on time. You seem like a nice man. Not sure about your talento info though. Talents I believe if they are high on the regular talent list of being pushed on TV are paid to for the cosmetic surgery."

Please don't get me wrong. In my house I control the kitchen when I'm home, but that's because I like to cook, and my better half loves my cooking. I do my part in cleaning the house, and did it all on my own before marriage for years upon years. In fact, domestic quarrels (verbal) are often about who does it better. I am VERY PC and do not stand for sexism one iota, but I stand behind my comments that Steve's comments that people who comment on a picture are sexist is ridiculous. After all, he did so himself. He clicked on this link, looked at the pic, and made his own comments based on complete deflection.

As for my 'talento' info though, it is bang on. Watched it on analog TV for that matter, about a year ago. And trust me, when the results came in, the Japanese audience did the annoying, "eeeeeeehhhhhhh????" (on that note, it's even more annoying with, "Whaaaaaaaaa?").

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

All this from a picture of a few singers; people have problems when they have to misdirect their anger and feelings to turn it into what it's become. I might be included, but only as defense.

Good point, smithinjapan. I feel that any misguided bad things said either about Koreans or Japanese is unnecessary. Whether these beautiful ladies of Kara had or had not cosmetic surgery shouldn't be an issue, as does the Japanese. I feel that both Koreans and Japanese have surgery, and both have those that are open about it, and others who aren't.

-- Korean people have little or no qualms about admitting surgery while the Japanese hide it as a dirty secret.

Please prove that about Koreans and Japanese.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

smithinjapan; I do not say that anyone that comments on this pictures are sexist. I am saying that JT puts up these photos for the sexists to drool over. it is obvious as there is a lack og genune talent and thsoe who don't look "nice" according to modern ideals. The people who drool are sexists as they look at women as objects not as humans.

-7 ( +1 / -7 )

Im not into the whole "emaciated celebrities" trend, but the chick in the middle seriously needs to lay off the bagels ...

HOWEVER I would question why these stupid, self indulgent korean nobodies are the photo of the day, when across Japan many people have died from natural disasters this week. Lets put photos of those people up instead.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Steve: "This is something i think you and many are incapable of."

And for some reason you say my comments are rude. Interesting.

"Times, Life progress everyday and improvements are there to be found and by progressively seeking better ways this also mean admitting that in the past your own view may have been wrong."

I really don't even know what you mean here, my friend. Too many language mistakes. If you mean my views on society or women in particular are wrong than you are suggesting that only your views are right, then who is in the wrong? You are saying my opinion is incorrect, but how can an opinion possibly be incorrect? A statement can, but not an opinion. Furthermore, as I have said, I am incredibly PC, but you come on, interestingly enough, to a threat you pretend to loath, and state that people who like girls are sexist. Do you ever wonder how you were born?

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

spidapig24; how do you define success? making money while being forced to dress a certain way, forced to look how someone else says. forced to have no realtionships or only those approved. Forced not to speak about topics that are controversal.Forced to "perform" whenever, whatever they are told.

So they make money are not allowed to be free people. Does modern day slavery equate to being successfull in modern womens eyes? It does in some posters here, how terribly sad.

-9 ( +0 / -8 )

erikaj: "Please prove that about Koreans and Japanese."

It's common knowledge. Forgive me if you don't know the obvious. Or else go ask the major Kawasaki clinic chain, or the dozen other chains how many customers they have and see if they'll willingly give you names and numbers. Quick question: have you ever heard of Kawasaki Clinic? Why does it exist if the surgery does not? :)

Been fun talking.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

smithinjapan; Afraid you have decided for whatver reason not to understand my views. Whether this is a mentla block or you are so influenecd by moder media, i don't know. Maybe the answer is somewhere else.

Don't try to be clever with wording, either debate or stop baiting.

-7 ( +0 / -6 )

Readers, this is simply a photo of a Korean pop group appearing at an event in Japan. Nothing more to it than that. There is absolutely no reason to post acrimonious or discourteous remarks, or even take offense at the photo. Please do do not focus your comments at or about each other.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

steve: "smithinjapan; Afraid you have decided for whatver reason not to understand my views. Whether this is a mentla block or you are so influenecd by moder media, i don't know. Maybe the answer is somewhere else."

Do you speak English? Get a spell checker! As to attitude, I think the mods pointed it out well enough: it is a picture, not a statement on society or your middle-age view of what is sexist and what is not.

erikaj: "The fact that you stated that the Japanese openly advertise "Kawasaki Clinic" (yes I know who they are), as well as "Takasu clinic", etc. proves that the Japanese DON'T HIDE IT. That is what is 100% crap. To me, both Koreans and Japanese equally openly admit and hide that they have surgery.

Glad you realize Japan is just as into cosmetic surgery as any other nation and don't resort to the usual, "Koreans have cosmetic surgery" when a picture or cute Korean girls comes into play. Good on you. As for hiding, I know it for a fact a lot of Japanese, celebrity or otherwise, hide what they've have done out of embarrassment whereas Korean women do not (and I'm saying in general, not ALL cases).

"You just contradicted yourself."

Actually, no. You just proved my point. The cosmetic surgery places in Japan exist in plain sight, but how many people will admit they've undergone surgery? It's like love hotels -- they are on every corner in Japan but how many people will admit to extra-marital affairs?

Moderator: See our earlier ruling on this thread.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I really like KARA, I think these ladies are very sexy. It's too bad though the J market is going to KAWAI them out. In a bit of time it's going to be all Kawai... Kawai.. for these ladies instead of the sexy cats they were :(

0 ( +1 / -1 )

spidapig24;

In fact you are wrong abour celebrities. They can choose to be under the microscope. Some never do iinterviews or appear in public eye rarely. Many celebrities with integrity neevr actt like these puppets. Olive Reed and Nick Lyndhurts are two prime examples.

Yds, they dress that way because men want them to, i already made my views clear about those type of men. I already made clear my view is that these "talents" are only there due to modern society.

-5 ( +0 / -4 )

The one in the middle has got wicked thighs.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Steve: "I do not say that anyone that comments on this pictures are sexist. I am saying that JT puts up these photos for the sexists to drool over."

So you are a sexist for commenting on it? People will comment, and some will drool; that does not make them sexist any more than people commenting on a picture of the destruction in Tohoku makes people... what.... geologexists? You actually did call people who comment on this picture as sexist, plain and simple -- you are an intolerant bigot and pushing your values on others. There are plenty of other pictures besides celebrities -- oh, wait, female celebrities are the only ones you touch on -- that people comment on; doesn't make them racist, sexist, or anything else.

"In fact you are wrong abour celebrities. They can choose to be under the microscope."

Others choose to whine and complain about people they could never measure up to.

"I already made clear my view is that these "talents" are only there due to modern society."

No you didn't -- you just flat out said men who comment on this picture are sexist. How can you defend that? (bring on the excuses).

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Steve,

The people who drool are sexists as they look at women as objects not as humans.

I don't think you actually clearly understand what sexism is. I tried to point that out to you in my first post, but, for your benefit, here is the first definition I came accross online.

attitudes or behavior based on traditional stereotypes of sexual roles. discrimination or devaluation based on a person's sex, as in restricted job opportunities; especially, such discrimination directed against women.

Now, I don't see these girls as objects. I see them as a bunch of attractive human females. If they were objects, I wouldn't be attracted to them, because they aren't good looking human females. So I object to being called sexist on the basis of this. But for you, you have said things like;

How about some photos of young ladies wearing knee length dresses showing some cakes and pastries they have just baked?

I don't find it very empowering when women neglect their duties and seek fame and fortune instead or being commited to their child raising duites as nature intended.

being a housewife and mother is no relegation,. in fact it is the worlds most important job that women do best.

These women are showing what is wrong with society

What this type of band does is make women weaker and insecure. Make them want body shapes and features that they cannot attain

If you look at the definition of sexism, and look at what you write, I don't see how you can't concede that it is actually your views that are sexist, not mine.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Tamarama; You are falling into the common trap of falling in line with modern media and their (modern) views which are in fact outdated and mean instead of having a decent pop band of talented musicians of all shapes and sizes we have image first, obedience to management second, and not a lot else positive. This modern atittude is dragging women down amking them aspire to what many cannot do.

I never discriminate against anybody including these women i am commentating on what they represent re music and society and my opinion is that they represent a low point as far as music, talent, and equality.

My2sense: "Take a trip to Korea... 99% of the women do not look like this but they have switched to Japanese styles and make up like the Thais have the past few years. I hear girls get an eye job for HS grad gift."

This is true. Just by genetics most korean women have long, high cheeked faces and slit eyes (before surgery) while japanese women tend to have small, round faces with almond shaped eyes. Hence, you understand why eyelid surgery, jaw-grinding and all kinds of face-retrofitting are common in Korea. As for the eye job for HS graduation, I've heard this about korean-americans; wouldn't be surprised if it's the same in korea.

These Kids are cute,

I'm not sure about the empowerment and such that I've read on Japangal posts. Cause as a society who may have set rules on who is the breadwinner and who manages those funds idealistically. Without the breadwinner there is no funds.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Thought I'd mention these girl bands from Korea are WAY more popular with the girls than the boys in Japan. It's hardly sexist for young women to look at pictures of cute women, is it???

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Smorkian; Doubt many of the visitors to this site are Japanese girls.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Ho hum.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I love those sexy legs with a bit of meat.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Doubt many of the visitors to this site are Japanese girls.

Doesn't change the fact, does it?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Or else go ask the major Kawasaki clinic chain, or the dozen other chains how many customers they have and see if they'll willingly give you names and numbers.

Smithinjapan, You are correct that Japanese people are very honest when it comes to whether they have cosmetic surgery or not, since they so openly advertise such places to get them done such as Kawasaki clinic and Takasu clinic. And yes, I've seen the numbers and while they are far less t than those in Korea, and among pop stars like Kara, they do get it done. Whether Kara, or lovely ladies like them get it done is not the point, but the fact is, that neither Koreans, nor Japanese are more open about getting cosmetic surgery than the other. That's common knowledge.

Don't know which is better though, lovely ladies like Kara who have obviously had some surgery done, or AKB48, who gives the impression to other women that you don't need to change anything about your looks and you could pretty much be a member of their group. (I swear that most of AKB48 are average looking at best)

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Smorkian; Really there is no need for that. The facstsare i am commenting on JT which has i would guess hardly any if any Japanese girls viewing their articles and pics. It is obvious who i am referring to as sexists on this site and that would not be Japanese girls who you claim to be the biggest fans of this gutter trash.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

@ Steve, lighten up. Kara is a girl band out to entertain, they are not sent by some dark forces to change the world.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

steve: "The facstsare i am commenting on JT which has i would guess hardly any if any Japanese girls viewing their articles and pics."

There are plenty of women, Japanese or otherwise (yet another stereotype you fall into), that comment on pics JT puts up, be they of women or otherwise. In this case I haven't seen many, but still.

" It is obvious who i am referring to as sexists on this site and that would not be Japanese girls who you claim to be the biggest fans of this gutter trash."

Steve, look in a dictionary and tell us what 'sexist' means. If anything, it's YOU being sexist here -- saying pics of women in a band should not be posted, or that Japanese 'girls' (your words) are not commenting. In any case, once again, this is a picture of a band and that's it -- you are the one who has come on here pushing his values on everyone else, and it is you being sexist by suggesting these women be one way but not the other.

Readers, we have already asked that you stop being discourteous to one another.

73 and counting... Someone break out the shochu, kimchee and BBQ. JT pop on a J-pop band tomorrow and let the hits rip... people are dying around the world but at least we KJ-pop and leg judging to sooth us... Bong!

They look great and sing well as well as dance well. This is a nice picture and more should go up. Please put up some guy pictures too.

I do not think there is anything wrong with a little plastic surgery at all. Australians, Europeans, and Americans have it done too. The difference is what kind of plastic surgery. Lipo suction, tummy tucks, and cellulite removal are very common in Australia, Europe, and the US.

I was kidding about the bong hits above.

I'm really not sure what you mean by this at all... if you're being sarcastic or not. Fact of the matter is that 99% of news these days is bad, which is why the women's WC victory was so amazing; it gave us a bit of relief in an otherwise very, very dreary atmosphere. It seems music (or entertainment) and sports are pretty much the only thing to turn to get a dose of good feeling these days. If a bit of leg and song give it to us, then great. All the power to these young ladies.

This photo shows the real reason why, despite all the complaining most of us gaijin guys engage in on this website , we are still here in Japan....

hmmm. They are Korean. Your comment shows why most people, despite all the complaining, log onto this website; look at the pictures and ignore the writing bits.

Want to make yourself crazy, crazier? Read some comments that are posted online about any news story or blog post . Vast majority are uneducated comments. It's somewhat baffling. Life is what you make it. These girls have worked hard to reach their ambitions and goals. They had the responsibility to shape their life. The major influence in their life was the attitude and actions they took to succeed. Congratulations Kara girls. You're doing great and look fabulous. Life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about. You don't have to be the best, just do your best. Enjoy, have fun and don't let silly comments affect you negatively. Ganbatte ne.

Novenchama, agreed. I actually don't know why I bother to post here, I really don't. I first contributed to this forum in 2004, but the content and quality of the posts disgusted me so much that I stopped until last year. And I really think it is worse now. I notice at least two people have given you 'thumbs down' for your post. I don't get it. I read your post - it is encouraging and complimentary. Who opposes that?!

They could keep me happy for hours and hours (without ever listening to their music)...

Freud was right, sex is THE most important thing in the world. Some see it positively (like the majority of people here), and some see it so negatively that it is definitely pathological (like a very obvious person continuously commenting, obsessed with sex much more than the rest of us average humans).

Moderator: What does this have to do with KARA?
