I'd love to ask them why they stick their two fingers up when they're having a photo taken. Answers like 'Because everyone else does it' are invalid.

All I can think of when I see Takeshita-dori is how long it takes to navigate that river of human bodies.

Pukey2, what do you prefer they do? Posing with your hands by your sides makes you look like you dont want to be in the photo (typically done by old people in their retirement travels). Would you rather they throw up gang signs? Or a good old aussie thumbs up? Or a single finger like Tomodachi from 21st Century boys?

Not eccentric at all compared to the 90's look, of short skirts, loose socks & excessively flamboyant makeup.

I think the implication is that Harajuku is trendy, not the young ladies' attire...
