Huh? She's a throwack to the 1930's.

Japan is definitely moving to the right.

Why is it an awesome choice? You don't elect a woman just because she's a woman. Yeah, a move to the right and a move to the back.

I hope Japan Tokyo will move to right and correct way from now on.

If they go any further right they'll fall off the edge!

Please, if it was a leftist you'd be championing her gender. Let's face it, the left may be good at giving women more token representation via irrelevant cabinet positions, but it's the right that has actually been effective at electing females to relevant positions in relevant countries (e.g. Thatcher, Merkel, Park, etc).

Further gloom in the fact that the racist rabble-rouser Sakurai got over 100,000 votes.

Too bad she's just another typical LDP member. But Japan's falling fast to the right anyways...

Can't see anywhere in my post where it said "elect a woman." It was meant as the right choice based on credentials vs. the status quo. Sad that some assume based on vague perception.

Hopefully she can keep the Olympic spending down at least (I don't like her views on education/history though).
