Probably guys punching above their weight relationship-wise, and have to make an effort with stuff like this so they don't get dumped.

I am making white chocolate chip cookies for my oldest son to give to his girlfriend.

Japanese obsession to Valentine Day ritual is amazing. I personally have nothing against , but a box of chocolate in Japan is very expensive. You know a true meaning of Valentine's Day has been distorted by greedy merchants for marketing purpose. White Chocolate is only in Japan. I have seen oyaji managers were picking up more than 20 boxes of White Girichoco. It is really losing a true meaning of Valentine's Day.

The looks like the equivalent of stopping off at a petrol station to get a bunch of flowers 'cos you forgot it was Valentine's Day.

My wife is always saying "This is Japan, you have to do (whatever)" So I gave in to the hype and bought her a heart-shaped chocolate cake with 24 Karat sprinkles on top. But I'm still waiting for MY Valentine's chocolate.

White Day really has no meaning, other than commercialism - an excuse for spending money, instead of demonstrating true love. Stick with Valentine's Day and make it mutual, instead of just women buying something for men.

I feel like experiment sometime (with foods, etc) and recently I have found a way to make a bowl with chocolate using an inflated balloon and deflate it afterwards. Stuff that with gummy candy (another one of my experiments). Though, my wife find the candy too chewy. BTW, I see cooking as nothing but chemical experiment.

Remember. it's pronounced "Go-dee-va" in Japan. But the CEO, head chef, and official website pronounce it "Go-dy-va" as in the name of the woman they got their inspiration from.
