One of the many lies Abe said to get the Olympics.

Wow! That's a really bold thing to say, considering that this is the guy who was your successor. A lie. Really strong words.

I never liked him after he visited Yasukuni and implemented the fingerprinting of us, but I have to say that I am very impressed with his candor and his sticking it to Abe the chronic liar.

Yes. Very clearly a lie at the time and everybody knew it to be a lie. Except perhaps the poor deluded fools on the WOC.

Why are there so few comments on this story ?

Is it because a) most people knew this anyway b) most Abe supporters are in denial or, c) there's clickba elsewhere on this site, drawing all the discussion?

Fukushima, as much as I truly regret saying it, most likely will be off-limits to all visitors during the 2020-TO. Only then the "lie" will show its true colors.

Mori negotiated for Tokyo telling how profitable for IOC. Abe was not involved in Tokyo Olympic negotiation.

Two remaining contestants Turkey and Madrid couldn't covinc IOC. There was nomstadrum in Tokyo but Mori showed the design of a new stadium. iOC finally accepted Tokyo group. Mori was accused on his various behaviors but he was cleared by IOC this month. Koike is in charge of Tokyo Olympic now. It will produce huge income. So Abe created Ministryam and met Koike
