Japan's frustrations ever since it's economy status was downgraded to level 3 !

I think that's a good suggestion.

The problem is, that all China has at the moment is their economic weight. Divorcing their policy from economics would be great for everyone else, but would diminish China's soft-power.

No one likes this, but unfortunately China has convinced itself that it is a great power on par with the US (and to a lesser extent, Russia, Europe and Japan) and will use its economic clout to further its political agenda.

Amari says China should isolate economic ties from politics

You mean he is beginning to realise that Japan relies heavily on China economically and will be the ones who lose out long term from all this nationalistic posturing....

Are there any countries that do this? If we consider the huge amount of corporate welfare and all the former politicians and government employees who go on to work as lobbyists or advisors to companies, we find there are deep incestuous ties.

Do not believe peace is possible with the worshipers of the biggest mass murderer in history. The Chinese communists are at odds with all of the other Asian nations. I believe they want to murder all 130 million Japanese as a start to their takeover of Asia. To the Russian Federation, you are fools to trust the Chinese communists. When the time is right they will take Siberia by force. Watch what the communists do to Vietnam and learn. Then it will be the Republic of China and then Japan. Not long after that they will take Malaysia and Singapore. It is time to fight of become their slaves.

@YuriOtani,

You are right, I know Chinese people, most of them hope to kill all Japanese for revenge. you can get this from the forum in China.

So for Japan, make sure avoid the revenge or win the revenge or die totally.

Actually, for China, they now believe Japan were try to invasion China not only in the ww2 but also during the past thounds of years.

China is an authoritarian state run economy. They are incapable of separating politics and economics. Which in turn is why they are biggest threat to the world today.

He is a native of Atsugi, Kanagawa and a follower of Tenrikyo as other LDP Representatives Hakuo Yanagisawa, Fumio Kyuma, Sanae Takaichi, Bunmei Ibuki, and Jinen Nagase. Not Yasukuni visitor.

He is also a member of the Japan-Korea Parliamentarians' Union and the Japan-China Friendship Parliamentarians' Union. This is why he talks about China, or so I guess.

In the Cabinet of Prime Minister Taro Aso, appointed on 24 September, 2008, Amari was appointed as Minister of State in charge of Administrative Reform. He is another of Aso person whom Abe included under Abe's wing.

On December 26, 2012, Amari was appointed to the newly created cabinet-level position of Minister of State for Economic Revitalization in the second Cabinet of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Amari's responsibilities within the Abe government also include tax and social security reform.

I think China should isolate themselves from the planet.

When Abe's father, Shintaro Abe was LDP lower house member, Amari was a lower house member, too. He has controversial background but he is one of _several LDP who know China and Korea

That is the most ridiculous comment ever made by a gov't official.

If Japan itself cannot separate politics with its economic policies, how can it even suggests others to segregate the two?

I cannot name ANY nation on earth that segregate its economic policies with politics. The two are symbiotic in relations. You cannot isolate one from the other.

Just by Amari saying this is disingenuous. Which is why no one really care about what Japan thinks.

First get rid of Shinzo Abe and his robots then talk economics. Feeling the heat? Then back-off and officially and overtly repent and seriously demonstrate remorse for your war crime sins..

You are correct that there is an extent of economics and politics that can not be separated for all countries. But the comment here is directed solely at China, which has directly linked economics and trade with it's territorial disputes, such as Japan and the Philippines. As I said, perhaps it's impossible for an authoritarian dictatorship with a state controlled economy to pout some distance between the two, but Amari has done China a big favor by letting them know what the whole world is already thinking; "China can't be trusted to do business". You should be thanking him.
