So, is it time for ICJ?

Just shoot at the ship! Like Russia :D

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Yeah just like RUSSIA?? Japan is no great super power anymore like Russia, so if Japan did do something that foolish, China would also do something stupid to Japan, so Uso, bad idea, IMHO.

As often as these incursions are happening the foreign ministry should just pitch a tent in their backyard and have the Chinese ambassador stay there. Save him the trouble of making daily visits to hear the same thing.

Japan is no great super power anymore like Russia,

Japan never was a superpower.

This needs a firmer response. Only language they will understand is uncompromising force.

Japan never was a superpower.

Thanks U.S envious for that.

interesting! I like that !

let Japan shoot first! if china don't fight back, people will protest , then communism will collapse ! I like that!!

Can Japan fight with China without US help? Let us be men!!!

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

I believe this issue will last for a long time. a solution for it is just ignoring it, don't report it. In China, this issue is used to shift people's attention from domestic problems to the foreign affairs and consolidate the legal ruling of communism. so china media should report it again and again. Japan can just ignore it..

I bet what really happens is they both sit there glaring at each other for the best part of an hour while their respective interpreters are down the local Doutor getting frisky.

Then the Japanese side issues a statement along the lines of a “strong protest was made to the Chinese side", etc. before both men bail.

:-)

Off you go then.

have fun with this issue , it will never lead to war, that is it.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

What the are all you guys talking about? Japan is definitely regarded a super power.

**Our marine surveillance ship accidentally clashed the Chinese ship. We're then being attacked. We will obviously defend ourselves. Finally we lose; and the American doesn't wanna get involved. What then?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

It looks as though even with the might of the USA in the background china is still intent on not letting this one go. Did it ever occur to someone that with all the spending China has been doing with developing its forces that perhaps they have a itch to try out what they have as a way of measuring their effectiveness in attack and defense ??

14 hrs is a long time it's like a direct challenge to Japan which in a way has shown that Japan is all talk so far...easy to confront fishermen ...not so easy to confront Chinese government vessels.

Japan has to demonstrate a continuous presence there now ...not after they spend years building up a coast guard force. A rotation of continuous patrols would suffice.

Just a matter of time before China calls Japan's bluff.

No need to be superpower. In 1905 Japan defeated Imperial Russian Army in China and and won all sea battles with Russian fleet . Russian Empire lost territories in Manchuria, South Sakhalin and Kuril Chain. Russia lost all battleships and cruisers. Another example. In 1979 small Vietnam successfully fought back China, during invasion of PLA into vietnamese territory . Though Vietnam had no nuclear weaponry, they gathered a huge combat experience in a previous war against Americans. So, they stopped chinese hordes.

It looks as though even with the might of the USA

um... what "might"?? they might or might not.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Umm, did the evening news just say that the Japanese Coast Guard was "targeted" by Chinese ships? As in radar targeted? This escalates things to another dimension, with China being the "aggressor"

It's better for CN and JP to cut off diplomatic relationship since both sides hate each other so much! why bother to summon envoy again and again? directly expel him so people know you are for real and it's at least better than a real war! I mean a real war, not something talking war....

This will not end well.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

You know how it is—JPN who rides a tiger is afraid to dismount...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

In all fairness, dismounting a tiger bears a bit of caution.
