This is a nonsense statement. What kind of reliance? Military assistance has been minimal. The vast majority of assistance the US provides is the billions of dollars in remittances from Filipinas living and working in the US send back home.

This is music to my ears! The sooner we close ALL bases in Asia and return our military to the USA the better. Globilization is in its death throes and the ONE WORLD tryanny will follow soon. Amen

Where will you house all those troops in the USA? Got the bases build already and what will their role/jobs be? Or will they all be discharged?

Will the Americans be happy having additional bases being build on home territory.

Overseas bases are cheaper as the US tax-payers don't carry the full financial, etc burden.

We are talking close to 100.000 troops plus equipment, gear like fighter planes, etc. Sure they would be happier in the states but as I said what would they do there ad they would be surplus.
