I make a point of not mailing my staff on weekends, so that they won't feel obligated to respond. On the rare occasion I do mail them at night or on weekends, I explicitly state that they can wait until working hours to reply.

They should also encourage their employees to turn off their cell phones, or at the very least, not ring or vibrate when they receive a call from a list of company phone numbers.

So I should try mailing my J-coworkers on their days off. They tend to ignore urgent important mails, and even not pick up the phone, during their official workplace hours...
