I read about the fentanyl crisis plaguing N. America right now, and how teenagers are going to parties on the weekend, doing what they think is some cocaine, and dying because it's laced with fentanyl.

I haven't heard even a single case of this in Japan. You rarely hear of teenagers doing any drugs in Japan, and when you do, it's often only marijuana (which I personally don't even consider a drug).

Kids have school stress here, but not drug pressure. I prefer to raise my kids here.
