Otsukaresama, Naomi-san ! Milos is lookin' real good ! Could this be his "breakout" tourney ? Dominika (The Pocket Rocket") Cibulkova should handle Makarova. Hope Andy is ok ! His retirement (if it happens) would really open up the field on the ATP side. Ganbarre, everybody !

Didn't see the match but apparently Boris Becker and Mats Wilander were watching and thought Djokovic was flat. Well done to Istomin for a good match for his part.
This is very good for someone in that section of the draw, in that there are 720 ranking points up for grabs now, which could see that someone moving up the rankings significantly as a result. Dominic Thiem or Dimitrov the obvious candidates for a semifinal place against Raonic or Nadal probably.

After this unbelievable shock loss by the great Djokovic, Nishikori looks sensational value at 26/1 - amazingly just the 7th favourite to win the trophy. If I was lucky enough to have a few yen, I'd put some on the kid - it could just be his year!
