Using the victims as a prop while they live in shacks 2 and a half years later.. Could the organizers stoop any lower?

Just STOP!
This is disgusting. It's just as bad as how the Boston Bruins tried to use the bombings as pity-fodder.
That has NOTHING to do with the 2020 Olympics. I'm betting all of those kids would have been even happier if it had been a visit from their favourite baseball and/soccer team.
Also, this line:
STINKS of lies. Why doesn't anyone call him out on this? Kids are still crying from grief 2+ years later? Yeah, okay.
and this:
Seriously? If there was an Olympic event for lying, this dude would be a gold medalist.
The games will NOT "inspire Fukushima youth". If you really want to inspire them, how about doing more to help the people who are still having a bad time? A sports event hundreds of kilometers away from Fukushima, 7 years from now, that nobody really cares much about (unless you read the rigged support polls), will inspire nobody.
Then WHY haven't they kicked TEPCO out of there and actually done something yet?

God I am SO tired of these morons using the disaster in Fukushima to try and prop up construction companies and government in Tokyo. How, pres tel, will these games inspire a kid still living in a gymnasium because the money for the bids was not used on his/her family?
This is simply a very desperate, extremely pathetic, and VERY immoral attempt to try and counter the fact that they have not contained the problem in Fukushima. I pray Japan does not get the Olympics for this kind of reason.

What Arakida doesn't mention is Japanese society now views the Fukushima residents as "tainted" or dirty and will face the same curious ostracism that Hiroshima victims did.

Once I heard an American say that "radiation is a political problem." Seems that it isn't just American politicians that can wave a magic want and make it go away but the Japan IOC has the magic power over radiation as well.

My BS meter just went code brown!

Yo! IOC, are you reading these comments? Fukushima should be the focus of Japan, not Tokyo. 2020, anywhere but Tokyo, we have enough work to do here.

I don't see this logic, I'm to be inspired by an international event being hosted in the capital, while my hometown's reconstruction is stalled. How is that inspiring, from a nationalist view, their is more money to host foreigners than to take care of your people?
