Man United beats Southampton 3-2 to win League Cup

Miserable. Man U winning something and an increased chance of Everton playing in that pointless Europa League.

A bad start to the week.

Sadder still was that the Saints (disclosure - my home team) were clearly the better team for most of the match. Had the first goal, which was clearly onside, not been disallowed we could be looking at a very different result.

I'm not the first to say that the number of decisions given in favour of the money clubs this season has been extraordinary. I'm not claiming a conspiracy here, but some have been jaw-dropping.

That was an abysmal decision.
