Question is: will LA benefit from hosting the games? Past experience proved so, but times have changed. As for Rio, it went officially bankrupt less than a month after the games ended, it can't even pay electricity for state hospitals - you wonder the rest.

Sure raises questions about Tokyo's budget, and the unreal reason for a new stadium. While I appreciate the fact that the country is short of material and manpower due to the Fukushima rebuilding efforts, as well as recent earthquake damage in Kumamoto, the expense of Tokyo's Olympics debacle is very scary for taxpayers.
