racism !!!!!!!

Let's hope FIFA act strongly and crack down on these racist scumbags. I support any black fella (ie Balotelli) walking off the pitch if there is any racist chanting. It is ironic that there is still a strong neo-nazi movement in Eastern Europe, including Poland: the Nazis actually considered them close to vermin. Drop the hate and stay away from sports, uneducated thugs!

It shows how low quality people really are

I agree with you entirely anglootaku, just a pity that the people who are responsible for it probably see themselves as perfectly decent people. There is very little chance that they`ll see anything wrong with what they are doing. As a race, we humans are pretty low.

Nazi Germany may have been defeated in WW2, but their ideology lives on in Eastern Europe. The BBC showed a programme about this a few weeks ago and what they showed was shocking.

The camera showed a whole section of the crowd doing the Nazi salute... the film was shown to a Ukrainian official who said they were pointing to a friend on the other side of the stadium. When you have denial of that sort it's no wonder that this goes unchecked.

Racism is bad but, I have to say that there is more racism in England and Western Europe than in these Eastern European countries.

SVTony... I hope you mean England as in England and not the UK? Here in Scotland it's more along the lines of Catholic vs Protestant, lol

Footballers used to be known as hard nuts who shrugged off abuse. Now the over paid luvvies will walk off the pitch and let their country down due to hurt feelings, boohoo! Get a backbone you spineless idiots, this is PC gone mad. Of course the racism is wrong and security measures should be in place for arresting the culprits but the prima donna ways of modern high paid footballers is sickening.

I would disagree with you, I know from first handed experience from what I have witnessed Eastern Europe is by far, the worst when it comes to racism. Russia, Poland, Ukraine...absolutely off the charts.

The main point is that anyone that mocks someone or heckles them because of their skin color is not even worthy of being called a human. So your skin color is different, therefore I have the right to beat the s*** out of you? Beyond insane

What a bunch of animals.

Americans would not understand the definition of racism since color is not involved. Hate is hate no matter the race of the victim or the ones doing the act of discrimination. Soccer is to be a global game where the world can come together but not in Europe.

It's just a sign of the times. Right -wing (conservative) movement lost to the Left-wing ( liberal) movement during WWII but if history teaches us anything... the winner become more like the looser. There is a Right-Wing resurgence in the world. Look at Japan, to paraphrase Hashimoto , Japan needs a dictator. But this too shall pass, violently or not.

A senior UEFA official said that a small group of protesters targeted the Dutch team’s training ground in Krakow on Wednesday and were unhappy at Krakow not being one of the four Polish host cities chosen for the tournament.

............. and so that excuses racist chants towards black Dutch players?!?! This quote from a senior UEFA official - do they even realise how utterly stupid they sound. And SVTony, no, there isn't, there really, really isn't.

Pretty biased and bold statement to make don't you think?

Racism has always been a deep undercurrent in these countries. How many black people, Jews, etc live there? Virtually none, and yet crap lives on.

@Zichi

that is a poor idea. Look at Europe when vermin from Liverpool Fc were involved in the deaths of inocents in Europe. Decent British teams were banned from Europe = the thugs won!!

We cannot ban whole countries through idiots, we find them and punish them not the innocents of the nations. We want 21st century justice against these thugs not a mass punishment that includes the innocents.

the majority of europeans just aren't ready for or able to accept the kind of diversity you see in America. i doubt they ever will be.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

stae Brtoken people; Your staement is one of the most ignorant i ahve read for a while.American diversity? Compared to diversity in Europe it does not exist. Gmags on the street by teh colour of their skin and in prison. Neighbourhoods defined by colour, we need no lessons from the US, go away please.

Johhny: Won't get into a debate over country to country racism, but nothing of this sort would ever happen at a US sporting event. These idiots would never be tolerated by the authorities OR the fans.

Poland and Ukraine should be ashamed of themselves, the Nazis screwed them over, then the Soviets, but what did these racist fools learn?? Not much, but I do hope the players who happen to be Black etc...score tons and tons of way cool GOALS against say POLAND and Ukraine, see how superior they will feel after getting their butts kicked in this game??
