The Zika Virus was just an excuse for many. I'm sure we'll see plenty of golfers opting out. Despite the 'success' of the Rio tournament, majors will still take precedence.

Of all the great golf courses the Kanto area has to offer for the Olympics, they choose one that forbids female members. Pretty sure that goes against the whole IOC pledge
