So it didn't work? How is the internetspeed in the places they introduced the fibreoptics? This was actually one of the things I wanted Google to go ahead and make work.

Fiber isn't wireless. Sheesh.

Google is considering expanding a new type of wireless delivery of high-speed internet instead of wired fiber optic because Google is being blocked in many cities by AT&T and other providers from using their light poles to string fiber.

Plus, the last mile connection in the US is so expensive because there are no overhead drops like in Japan. Everything is buried.

What happens in SF when that building that sunk 16 inches and is listed at 24 falls down and tears out the cables?
