I have already seen assembly lines that are devoid of humans. Only robots are working. I've always wondered how many humans would be there if there were no robots. The robots are cheaper to operate, they don't complain about such things as overwork, pay, holidays, etc. Who needs humans anyhow? They only clog up the operation ...

Anyway ... in many aspects in the industrial world, the future is here now. Ford's nightmare scenario, as written above, is quite upon us already.
